It's been a while since I've done a Splinterlands post showing my battles, so today I decided to do a post showing a battle that I found really fun to watch and when I say fun I mean for me and not for my opponent because I'm sure he got really angry, at least I know that if it were me then I would have foamed at the mouth with rage.
For those who don't know, I'm a player who plays in the Diamond and Champion leagues in Splinterlands and my current focus is to get my Soulbounds cards to max level before a new Soulbound set is released. It hasn't been long since I got back into Splinterlands so I'm a little behind since the current Soulbounds cards were released a few months before I got back, so I'm trying to make up for it by earning as much Glint as possible so I can open a large number of Loot Chests and also Rarity Draws.
My current strategy is to open 100 Rare Draws, 25 Epic Draws and 150 Major Chests per season. I'm avoiding Common Draws because I already get a lot of common cards in Major Chests and I'm also not opening Legendary Draws because I don't consider the current legendary Soulbounds cards very strong so I'll leave them for last, besides that I can also get some legendary cards in Major Chests.
Since my Glint gain is limited these are the Rarity Draws and Loot Chests that I can open per season. The reason I chose Major Chests is because I can open a larger quantity than Ultimate Chests and even though the chances of getting a jackpot are lower, I still get a large amount of cards and energy, so in my opinion it's a better Chest, but this is for those who don't have enough Glint to open them all because the ideal would be to open all the Loot Chests.
I ended up straying a little from the focus of the post so let's get straight to the battle.
See the Battle
If you are already a veteran player in Splinterlands then you must have already noticed my strategy and how annoying it is to face it, but if you are a new player then let me give you a little summary about this incredible strategy.
Basically the strategy revolves around speed and the Coeurl Lurker card, explaining this in great detail would be a bit difficult so it will be easier if you watch the battle because you will understand it very quickly, but I will try to explain.
The Coeurl Lurker is a card that has very useful abilities for a tank and I am using it at level 2 so it has 3 abilities which are: Taunt, Dodge and Phase.
The Taunt ability will make Coeurl receive all of my opponent's attacks. The Dodge ability will increase by +25% his chances of dodging melee and ranged attacks. The Phase ability will make him able to dodge magic attacks and this means that the +25% from the Dodge ability will also be applied to magic attacks.
He has a great chance of dodging attacks, right?, but it can get even better if you increase his speed and that's what I did in this battle, I used 3 monsters with the Swiftness ability and this means that my monsters will gain +3 speed, I used 1 monster with the Slow ability and this means that my opponent's monsters will have -1 speed and I also used a summoner that gives +2 speed to my monsters, so my Coeurl Lurker will receive +5 speed and adding this to his abilities he will become a machine for dodging attacks and if you don't believe me then watch the battle.
He's an incredible monster with the right strategy, right? But I also have to give credit to the summoner Conqueror Jacek because he gave the ability Scattershot to all my monsters and it's perfect against my opponent's strategy and if it weren't for that then this battle would be much harder and I might have lost.
Another tip I give is to use a monster that has the ability Tank Heal with this strategy because that way if the Coeurl Lurker receives some attacks then you will be able to heal him, even if he dodges a lot of attacks he is not immortal and the longer a battle goes on then the greater the chances of him being defeated and having a monster with the ability Tank Heal is a great help in these times.
