It's time to expand my Soulbound epic card collection and to do so I'm going to open 15 Epic Draws today. I could open more Epic Draws but I'm saving some Glint to spend tomorrow opening Major Chests since I'll be renting cards to battle, so I don't want to go over the 50 energy limit until then since I'd stop earning energy every hour and that would be a waste of energy for me.
I currently have 132,722 Glint in my wallet and 15 Epic Draws will cost me 112,500 Glint, so I'll have 20,222 Glint left to spend opening Major Chests, but I'll save up some more Glint that I'll earn from ranked battles and open the 75 Major Chests I have left in a single transaction.
Another detail that is not important, but I loved this Christmas chest theme in Splinterlands, they make me get into the festive spirit of this wonderful time of year.
Now let's test my luck in the Epic Draws and see if I can get a good amount of the Halfling Refugee card, which is my favorite epic card from the current Soulbound set.
It seems that I'm not lucky and I didn't get any Halfling Refugee cards, but on the other hand I got 1 Olivia of the Brood card, which is also one of my favorite epic cards from the current Soulbound set, and I also got 4 Thanalorian Blade cards, which is my most evolved Soulbound epic card in my account. Now I only have 6 Thanalorian Blade left for me to get it to level 4 and then it will become a great card for my battles in the Diamond league.
I just realized that in my last Gladius Cases opening I got 2 more cards from Quora Towershead and now I have enough to get her to level 2.
Unfortunately, her advancement to level 2 is not very significant because it only increases her life by +1, but now she has 12 life and this means that the ability Heal will be able to heal her for +4 life and not +3 as it did at level 1 and it may not seem like much but +1 life makes a big difference in a battle.
I only need 6 more cards from Quora Towershead to get her to level 3, and at this level she becomes even more interesting because she gains the ability immunity which makes her immune to any magical debuff and also the ability Cripple, which means that she becomes an even more valuable ally for my battles in Splinterlands, especially when the Noxious Fumes rule is in the battle.
Another interesting card I got in Epic Draws was Arachne Weaver as it heals an allied monster for 70% of its life and this could be a great combination for Quora Towershead.
