I have no doubt that Commander Slade is my current favorite Soulbound card in Splinterlands because I can't count how many times I've managed to win a battle because of him. If you don't believe me, then I'll demonstrate the incredible power of Commander Slade through a battle, but first, let's talk a little about him.
To start, Commander Slade is a monster that even without abilities is already incredible because he has a large amount of life and armor, which means he has a great defense and to make things even better, Commander Slade has a powerful melee attack and a lot of speed.
Commander Slade is the type of monster that no player will regret choosing for battle, except in battles with the Reverse Speed rule because choosing Commander Slade may not be a good idea.
In addition to having a large amount of attack, speed, life and armor, Commander Slade has 4 abilities that make him even more incredible.
The abilities that Commander Slade has are: Enfeeble, Dodge, Reflection Shield and Backfire.
The ability Enfeeble makes Commander Slade decrease by -1 the melee attack of the monster he successfully hits.
The ability Dodge makes Commander Slade have +25% chance to dodge melee and ranged attacks.
The ability Reflection Shield makes Commander Slade immune to damage from the abilities Corrosive Ward, Thorns and Blast Splash Damage.
The ability Backfire makes Commander Slade deal 2 physical damage to the monster that misses with an attack on him.
All of these 4 abilities are great but the ones that make Commander Slade even more incredible in battles are the abilities Dodge and Backfire because Commander Slade has a great chance to dodge attacks since he has a large amount of speed.
Currently my Commander Slade is only level 4 but even at this level he is already very useful in my battles and it won't be long before I get him to the maximum level considering the amount of Loot Chests I open per season.
BATTLE
In this battle I can show Commander Slade's power well because he was the main reason I won it since he dodged several of my opponent's attacks, in fact I felt a little sorry for the monster Relenor Cleaver since he only hit my Commander Slade with 2 attacks and the second attack was when he had already lost all of his power and that's why my opponent was defeated. I'm sure that after this my opponent won't use Relenor Cleaver for a long time and will run to try to get Commander Slade.
One of my main goals in Splinterlands right now is to get all of my Soulbound cards to max level before a new Soulbound edition is released because just like Commander Slade, there are also other amazing cards in the current Soulbound edition.
