Hello splinterlands warriors and team members, how are you doing?
There are many warriors in the game that can tell you how hard it was when they started playing splinterlands game. I saw a video call when a splinterlands warrior was teaching someone how to play splinterlands.
The trainee said “this game is hard", after two weeks, he started playing it, and now he had mastered the techniques.
Practice mode! Practice mode!! Practice mode!!!
In those days, it was very easy to practice!
I stopped practicing because I always beat my opponent. I had a 99.5% winning rate whenever I practiced in those days.
I thought splinterlands team identified the problem of 'practice mode' which made the to change it to 'training mode'.
How to Practice Training Mode?
When you log into your splinterlands account, click on the icon ‘play’; you will see four features- Ranked Play, Guild Brawls, Tournaments, Conflict, Land and Soulkeep.
Click on Ranked Play; three icons will appear on the top- Challenge, Training and how to play.
Click on training- training ground will appear.
Let's start from training ground!
Training ground is a place where a person that is interested in splinterlands can learn different skills require to fight in splinterlands.
What are the importants of Training Mode?
Mastering skills
This is a place a player can learn different skills to battle in splinterlands. Players know that splinterlands battles is not an easy battles. I have heard a player that said, “I'm tired to play" because he loses all the battle. There were days I played 50 battles and I lost 20 battles; losing these kinds of number was not good for a player that is aiming at leaderboard.
Learning Strategies
To win battles, you need to understand different strategies to use. There was a day when I was playing ranked battle; I was using a specific strategy to attack my opponent because most of my opponent were using the same strategy with first 5 battles I played.
After I won 6 streak battles, there was a player that changed his strategy and he won the battle. The bitter party of it was that, I could not eliminated one of his monsters.
A player learn different strategies!
Competing in leaderboard
It is not enough to have max Dec, it is good to learn how to climb leaderboard; and to climb leaderboard, one must master the skills requited.
One of the reason players competing in the leaderboard was the rewards. The reward is very huge!
The players on the top of leaderboard earn the highest rewards.
Learning the Rules, and the best summoner and Monsters to use
There are some rules that a player aiming to finish in leaderboard must understand in order to pick the best monsters and summoners. There was a day, a player made a mistake arranging melee monsters when I we were given back to basic rule. The funniest thing was that, magic monsters were available and summoners that give +1 additional magic attack to friendly monsters were also available
He used max Dec account, and I was using level 4 of Alric Stormbringer. That was how I defeated the player.
With the way he arranged his/her monsters, there was no way he could have win the battle. Therefore, it is important to use the best monsters and summoner that suit the rules accompany the battles.
It helps one to learn from simplex to complex or from easy to hard
This is the reason when a child start school, they start teaching the child, A B C D……., and 1,2,3…..
In education, we start from simple to complex in order to understand the topic very well.
This is how it is in splinterlands- a novice player can not just start by playing hard. You have to start from easy to hard! This will make you understand the game and the game will not be difficult to play.
By the time a novice has master the easy mode, he/she can proceed to hard mode.
From Novice to expert
Learning never stop, I started from somewhere.
I started from Novice, and in those days, novice was very hard for me. Until I played splinterlands for 2 months, and I realized that it was very easy and that was what motivated me to upgrade my cards to the next league.
Novice is an inexperienced person in work related. It won't speak well to give a novice max Dec account to play. It may not earn more than 100 points before the end of the season.
But as a novice is learning, he gaining experiences and mastering the skills.
It came to a point I won 90% of the battles when I was in novice league.
The reason a player needs to gain experience from one level to another is that, the higher the level, the tougher the battles. As a player upgrading from one level to another, the harder the battles.
An expert knows the best monsters, summoners and strategies to win battles.
The best format
Well! For me, I used wild format because it allows me to use all cards both modern and wild.
It helps players to master his/her cards. There are some player that have only modern cards, choosing modern format will make them to understand the best ways to use modern cards in battles.
Ghost Cards
Ghost cards gives a player ability to practice all splinterlands cards before buying them. It simply means that you don't have those cards at moment, but you are intend to get them later.
It gives a player opportunity to player with higher and lower cards, understand specific rules when you envounter it in battles.

*It gives clues about how the battles will look like": it will look like you have already encounter the battles before. You know when you are used to something, you understand it better. It gives one knowledge the better way to win battles.
It makes one acquainted to all cards: it make a player to know how to use all cards in splinterlands. The are cards they may not be easy to use because I don't know how effective they are in battles.
Maximize your time to make precise decisions in selecting cards: there many players wasting time to pick the cards they want to use. I have made this mistake to the point the time frame given to me elapsed. I was picking a monsters, and removing a monsters until the time elapsed.
Ghost Cards will give you a precise decision to make without thinking twice while selecting monsters.
