Let's make a vade mixed with dal and chickpea flour.

in #hive-180569last month

Good day to all my Hive friends! How are you? Today, I’m excited to share a delicious recipe with you—a tasty "vade" made from dal and chickpea flour. This dish is perfect for tea time, combining the rich flavors of dal and chickpea flour with onions, garlic, and spices to boost both taste and nutritional value. It embodies a unique South Asian flavor. Typically, I prepare Ulundu Piti Vade, but today, I’ve made it in a slightly different way, and I thought I’d share this variation with you.

The cooking process as follows.

1 Step.
Before preparing it, take the lentils and soak them in water for at least 4 hours. Then remove the water and keep it separate.

2 Step.
Then, using a stone grinder or a modern blender, add the soaked lentils, salt, garlic, raw chillies and curry leaves and grind them into a paste. It should be thick and smooth but not watery.

So, everyone, make your tea-time perfect with this delicious and crunchy "vade" made from a blend of lentils and chickpea flour. It's both healthy and tasty, packed with protein from the chickpeas and lentils. After frying, place the "vade" on paper towels to absorb any excess oil. For an extra crispy texture, be mindful not to use too much chickpea flour. Give this recipe a try! I'll see you next time with a new dish.

Have A nice day.
Best Regards,

Samadi Madushanki .

Vade is my absolute favourite Asian snack. I'll pass the samosas if vade is on the menu.
Yours look really good! I'm keen to try and make them.
So the secret is not too much chicken pea flour, must be the mistake some cooks make, as it's the crispy crunchy texture that makes them so delicious, thank you for sharing 😋

I'm glad you enjoyed the tip! Vade's crispy texture is definitely the best part. 😋
