Madrid question the criteria behind the Ballon d'Or selection and claim Dani Carvajal has also been unfairly overlooked.
"If the award criteria do not give Vinicius the winner, those same criteria should give Carvajal the winner," the club explained to the news agency.
"As this has not been the case, it is clear that the UEFA Ballon d'Or does not respect Real Madrid. And Real Madrid does not go where it is not respected," he stated with a resounding sentence that makes clear the existing conflict between the white team and UEFA.
Despite being the team that had the most candidates to win the award, with names like Vinicius, Bellingham, Carvajal or Kroos sounding like possible candidates in recent months, no Real Madrid footballer will win the award, which will go to the Rodri's hands.
