Hi community!
FIFA protocol prevents Gavi from returning to the pitch after the concussion suffered against Alavés.
Hansi Flick has an important player back in his midfield for tonight's game at Mestalla: Dani Olmo. The international is the big new addition to the squad for the Copa del Rey quarter-final against Valencia. However, he will not be able to use Gavi.
Olmo has already overcome the injury to the soleus of his right leg that he suffered on January 18 and that has forced him to miss six games. The Terrassa midfielder, however, will not be a starter and, in any case, will have a few minutes in the second half.
Flick still has Marc Bernal, Ter Stegen, Christensen and Gavi out for medical reasons. FIFA's health protocol prevents the coach from counting on the Andalusian after the concussion he suffered in last Sunday's game against Alavés. The midfielder trained on the pitch yesterday, but alone. Perhaps he can be included in the list for Sunday's game against Sevilla. The other significant absence from the list is Ansu Fati. Barcelona has not indicated that the attacker has suffered any injury, so everything indicates that it is a technical decision.
Barça's list is made up of: Cubarsí, Balde, Araujo, Iñigo Martínez, Ferran, Pedri, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Iñaki Peña, Pablo Torre, Fermín, Marc Casadó, Pau Víctor, Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Frenkie de Jong, Koundé, Eric García, Szczesny, Kochen, Héctor Fort and Gerard Martín.
See You soon!
