Una creencia es una especie de estado mental en el que una o más personas suponen que algo es verdadero o probable y gracias a esta doctrina sucede que muchos en mi país creemos que el día de Santa Rosa que se celebra el 30 de agosto de cada año, va a haber una gran tormenta.
La realidad es que, científicamente hablando, las posibilidades de un evento climatológico de estas características es factible de ser provocado por el aire caliente que ya se acerca a estas latitudes presagiando la llegada de la primavera, este aire cálido, al chocar con el frío reinante durante el invierno, ocasiona efectos meteorológicos que pueden crear condiciones favorables para una gran caída de agua precedida de alguna tormenta. Ciertamente no se produce exactamente el 30 de agosto, puedo ocurrir algunos días antes, algunos después o simplemente confundirse con una lluvia ordinaria. Lo cierto es que siempre para esta fecha esperamos la famosa tormenta.
Y este viernes 30 de agosto se presentó con una versión decididamente importante, tano que siendo sábado 31 y con el reloj marcando las 8:30 de la mañana, no para de llover desde ayer a las 14:00 aproximadamente. Todo acompañado por viento fuerte, rayos y truenos, como anunciando a la población que esta es una tormenta importante, Santa Rosa.
Toda esta introducción me sirve para comentarles que hoy seguramente será un día de encierro, de hecho, estoy escribiendo estas líneas cuando desde hace tiempo había tomado la determinación de descansar de la computadora los fines de semana, pero lo cierto es que hoy tengo mucho tiempo libre dentro de casa y aquí estamos.
Y que haré en el día de hoy, bien. Ver deportes en primer lugar, los fines de semana hay para todos los gustos y como a mí me gustan todos los deportes, estoy de parabienes.
Comencemos por mencionar que ayer hizo su debut oficial en la F1 Franco Colapinto, nuestro joven talento que reemplaza a Logan Sargeant en la escudería Williams luego de que este fuera desplazado, supuestamente por no responder a las exigencias de la categoría y del equipo en cuestión. Ayer pude observar parte de las prácticas libres donde el joven argentino realizó una tarea correcta ocupando el 17° puesto en la clasificación general de tiempos, algo que no es tomado en cuenta porque esas tandas sirven para probar configuraciones, comportamientos del casco y motor, también para chequear los diferentes compuestos de gomas disponibles y en el caso de Colapinto para aprender e interpretar las sensaciones que le deja el vehículo.
Esta mañana temprano se realizó la tercera y última tanda libre y la buena noticia es que Franco finalizó con el 9° mejor tiempo, algo que hay que tomar con precaución porque sabemos que estas prácticas poco tienen que ver con la clasificación para la carrera que comenzará en un par de horas. La ilusión de verlo desempeñarse bien está intacta.
Otra gran noticia que ocurrió en el día de ayer fue la clasificación de la selección nacional de voleibol Sub 17 para jugar la final del mundial de la categoría luego de ganarle a España en 5 sets. El encuentro final será contra Italia, un durísimo rival, no creo que lo trasmitan en directo, pero estaré atento por si ocurre.
Luego tendremos el desenlace del Tour Championship de Golf del cual escribí en el día de ayer, quedan dos jornadas apasionantes y por supuesto estaré atento a lo que ocurra, es un deporte apasionante que sigo con gran entusiasmo porque lo juego y se lo difícil que es.
También hay fútbol, para todos los gustos, internacional con la continuación de las principales ligas que recién comienzan y local donde estamos entrando en una etapa próxima a la definición de nuestro principal torneo, por TV trasmiten poco, hay que pagar para ver algún encuentro, me conformaré con escuchar algo por radio y ver los resúmenes luego de finalizados los partidos. Esta noche juega Boca Juniors de local en la Bombonera frente a Rosario Central y mañana River Plate en un clásico frente a Independiente de Avellaneda que hace las veces de local. Mi querido lobo platense recién tendrá su encuentro el lunes de local ante Argentinos Juniors, equipo donde se inició Diego Armando Maradona.
Mañana F1, imperdible, alentando a Franco Colapinto, luego no sé qué veré además del golf, el pronóstico no es alentador y es probable que otra vez estemos encerrados gracias a Santa Rosa, de Lima para más datos.
Santa Rosa storm
A belief is a kind of mental state in which one or more people assume that something is true or probable and thanks to this doctrine it happens that many in my country believe that on the day of Santa Rosa, which is celebrated on August 30th of each year, there will be a big storm.
The reality is that scientifically speaking, the possibilities of a weather event of these characteristics are likely to be caused by the warm air that is already approaching these latitudes, foreshadowing the arrival of spring. This warm air, when colliding with the cold prevailing during the winter, causes meteorological effects that can create favorable conditions for a large fall of water preceded by a storm. It certainly does not occur exactly on August 30th, it can happen a few days before, a few days after, or simply be confused with ordinary rain. The truth is that we always expect the famous storm around this date.
This Friday, August 30th, was presented with a decidedly important version, so much so that being Saturday 31st, and with the clock marking 8:30 in the morning, it has not stopped raining since yesterday at approximately 2:00 p.m. All accompanied by a strong wind, lightning, and thunder as if announcing to the population that this is a major storm, Santa Rosa.
All this introduction serves to tell you that today will surely be a day of confinement, in fact I am writing these lines when I have long since decided to rest from the computer on weekends, but the truth is that today I have a lot of free time inside the house and here we are.
And what will I do today, well. Watch sports first of all, there are things for everyone on weekends and since I like all sports, I am in luck.
Let's start by mentioning that Franco Colapinto, our young talent, made his official debut in F1 yesterday. He is replacing Logan Sargeant in the Williams team after the latter was removed, supposedly for not meeting the demands of the category and the team in question. Yesterday I was able to observe part of the free practice sessions where the young Argentinean performed a correct task, occupying 17th place in the general classification of times, something that is not taken into account because these sessions serve to test configurations, helmet and engine behavior, also to check the different tire compounds available and in the case of Colapinto to learn and interpret the sensations that the vehicle leaves him.
This morning the third and last free practice session was held early and the good news is that Franco finished with the 9th best time, something that must be taken with caution because we know that these practices have little to do with the classification for the race that will begin in a couple of hours. The illusion of seeing him perform well is intact.
Another big news yesterday was the qualification of the national U17 volleyball team to play the final of the world championship of the category after beating Spain in 5 sets. The final match will be against Italy, a very tough rival, I don't think they will broadcast it live, but I will be attentive in case it happens.
Then we will have the outcome of the Golf Tour Championship which I wrote about yesterday, there are two exciting days left and of course, I will be attentive to what happens, it is an exhilarating sport that I follow with great enthusiasm because I play it and I know how difficult it is.
There is also football, for all tastes, international with the continuation of the main leagues that have just begun and local where we are entering a stage close to the definition of our main tournament, on TV they broadcast little, and you have to pay to see some matches, I will settle for listening to something on the radio and watching the summaries after the matches have finished. Tonight, Boca Juniors plays at home at the Bombonera against Rosario Central, and tomorrow River Plate in a classic against Independiente de Avellaneda who plays at home. My beloved wolf from La Plata will only have its home game on Monday against Argentinos Juniors, the team where Diego Armando Maradona started.
Tomorrow is F1, not to be missed, cheering on Franco Colapinto, then I don't know what I'll see besides golf, the forecast is not encouraging and we'll likely be locked up again thanks to Santa Rosa, from Lima for more information.
