The story begins with the story of a young man named Landon Carter who lives in a small town. So the resident know each other, Landon Carter came from a prominent family, his father was a congressman.
Because the grew up with material advantages, Landon Carter become a young man respected by his friends and an idol for teenage girls. But he is also a teenager who is often involved in violating school rules.
Landon Carter knew a girl named Jammie Sullivan grew up to a simple girls, willing to help the people around her. She is a girls who lives with simplicity and adheres to the holy scriptures.
At one point, Landon Carter violated the rules and was punished, he has to help the orphans who Will be holding a Christmas play by helping Jammie. Landon Carter can also memorize dialogue with and appreciate the character he plays, thanks to Jammie patience.
And in the end he fell in love with the girl, at first Jammie fell ill, Landon felt lost because he couldn't see Jammie anymore. Landon Carter was devastated after he found out that Jammie had leukemia, and according to the doctor.
He wouldn't have much longer to live by day, Landon Carter feels his love for Jammie getting bigger, and he is determined to make Jammie happy as he lives the end also expressed his intention to marry Jammie to the girl's father.
But Jammie father refused because he didn't believe in Landon good intentions,who sincerelly loved Jammie, but after seeing landon Carter sincerity in accompanying Jammie through her treatment.
Landon Carter was able to make Jammie laugh, finally with Jammie condition getting weaker, Landon Carter and Jammie hot married, until a few months later Jammie health condition got worse and Jammie finally left Landon Carter forever.
Even more than half a Century old, Landon Carter is still alone because he is unable to forget the effection he feels for Jammie. Because from Jammie he learned a lot about effection between follow humans, and giving unconditional love.
