With several days of rain still hammering our region, we already yearn for the sunshine. We haven't seen the sun for almost a week now. Yesterday morning, we were talking about taking a road trip to the neighboring province but then when we went out of the house, we found out that a part of the driveway eroded during the night and buried the front left tire of the car almost completely.
That made us think twice about the trip as there could be landslides along the roads so we decided to stay put and did some clearing instead. Then we received a call from my father informing us of a neighbor who passed away due to kidney failure.
For some reason, no one registered in my mind even when Dad mentioned the name and where their house was and the person's siblings. I tried to rack my brain but nada. Guess what? She appeared in my dreams last night scaring the hell out of me.😱
Perhaps that's the universe making me remember, huh?
Anyhow, all is well and everyone is safe and sound. We might go home to the other place at my parents when the weather improves so we could attend the wake or at least the funeral on Saturday.
By the way, these pictures were seen, enjoyed, and photographed after our early dinner at ONCH. I was looking through my phone gallery when I found them, giving me my ray of sunshine amid the torrential rains.
It's Thursday on our side of the world, past 6 am. Heavy rains still and oddly enough, the thunder roars the hubby couldn't believe it. "Oh there's even a lightning!" he pointed out the window as he got out of bed. Yeah, there is still no sign of the weather improving, but who knows the universe may surprise us anytime during the day.
Until then, maybe it's going to be a movie day for us (or not). We'll see about that as the day unfolds.
