Hola Monday!
Beautiful life!
It's the new week and time to note down some numbers for the year. I have procrastinated long enough and if I allow it to go on, I will be drifting in the days, weeks, and months ahead. That would not be ideal so this goaling is my way of pushing myself to do something before Mr. P takes a permanent abode in my household😅 And since I'm putting my goals out (publicly), I'll be forced encouraged to be more accountable.
And so, here are my 2 realistic goals for the year:
2.5k HBD Savings
I have been building my Hive Power in the previous years, so I'm not making it my priority this 2025. Of course, I will still grow my stakes (participate in HPUD or stake HIVE) but will take my time and won't pressure myself.
I recently withdrew my savings wanting to keep it liquid and trade for HIVE when the price becomes more favorable and take advantage of any price actions but I changed my mind and canceled the withdrawal.
I'm not good at reading charts (technical analysis or such) but with what HIVE had shown yesterday, I'm positive it will make another move at any time. Unfortunately, I have traded my liquid on the exchange too early (at 48 and 50 cents) so I'm waiting for a chance to buy back.
With the additional savings this year, I plan to use some of it for a better camera (or phone) since I love taking photos whenever we go out. Our smartphones and digicams have aged well and no longer take good pictures. I may have a change of heart on this but will update it when a more definite or important purpose arises. If none, then I would end up with HBD earning interest and that's good!
Anyway, I'm starting with 1,077, the ending balance from last year.
Recurring Buys: $2 Worth of Sats a Day
Funny enough, I have not been adding to my tiny BTC holding (which I had since 2018 if I'm not mistaken), so I would like to stack some sats this year. I found the auto-invest feature on Binance useful in this lil adventure so I'm going for it (do note it is not advisable to put or hold crypto on centralized exchanges).
The minimum amount is very low, at 10 cents USDT for each period (daily or hourly, etc), and with ZERO fees! So I chose the 12-hourly (initially had it daily but edited it) and set the buy amount of 1 USDT. Very small but a more realistic amount for me, especially since I'm using a CEX and keeping the sats there.
There! It has been set and the first buy will be in approximately 11 hours. With that plan in place, I would be spending investing about 730 USDT in the whole year. The hubby agreed, saying we could increase it to $5 a day but will see how it goes first.
I don't know how the price of BTC will change over time so I can't calculate the amount of sats I'll end up having a year from today but I'm already excited!
So yes, these are what I'm setting my sights on, and hope to check them off by year-end or earlier.
By the way, if you haven't already done so, join us in the Saturday Savers Club and grow amongst many supportive savers. Don't worry, we don't bite😅 Joke aside, you can check this post for more details. Thank you and all the best!
