We woke up to a calm Friday morning with the birds chirping outside our bedroom windows. The Lil Guy who had been awake for some time and usually stays on the other pillow beside my head started giving us his usually warm smooch that always made us giggle early in the day.
Those and the little everyday things — i.e. some hugs, a smile (even from a stranger), laughter, nature - the sunset, sunshine, mountains, hills, landscapes, music, reading, food, my loved ones, tranquility, adventure - these and pretty much anything around inject life into my day. Depending on my disposition, my enthusiasm may skyrocket or stay mild, but I always try to savor the goodness of everything, even those that make me feel low at some point.

What I'm trying to say?
That it doesn't take something out of this world to make me feel good, get going, and do whatever I intend to do each day. Of course, I do have some downtimes, it's normal. We can't be upbeat, driven, and happy all the time. Then there's Mr. P who wins once in a while but gets kicked out soon after.
But yes, the little things stir my spirit, enliven my soul, and give me energy. It would be tough if it took more than them to stimulate my senses and inspire me. Maybe growing older has something to do with it or because my general perspective has been improving over the years.
I am becoming more intentional about my happiness, well-being, and personal growth. There is that internal desire to grow inward and outward, to advance and thrive, become my best version, and live better today than yesterday. Perhaps these are the ultimate inspirations for most of my thoughts and actions — why I am keen on learning, experiencing more, exploring places, expanding my interests, doing certain things, and carefully choosing whom I connect or spend time with.
Thinking about it, maybe that's one of life's purposes — to discover more about ourselves, unravel our gifts or potential, appreciate all there is, and live meaningfully each day.
