Our little watermelon plant keeps producing! After two very small watermelons, we saw another forming. We felt it today and it was ripe and ready for harvesting.
It's in the refrigerator chilling. We're visiting family today, we may bring it with us for everyone to have a small sample of our home-grown little watermelon.
We also counted FOUR pumpkins on our vine. One is very small, but the other three are good size. It'll be interesting to see what we're able to get from the vine.
We also harvested our potatoes. They're tiny, but we were happy to see them in good shape, just from putting some potatoes in the ground that we were going to throw away. We learned we need more compost, which is why we keep adding to it each day.
Just as I thought the garden was about done, we're surprised with all sorts of good things! I think pulling up the sweet potatoes will be the grande finale for the garden this year. Once they're ready, we'll harvest them too!
