Adventures In Homesteading (Day 190)

Hello Everyone!

Still of track, Getting naps, Hobby time, Chilly weather & A somewhat damp tent!

Alright, I am off schedule with my writing routine yet again... but at least I made the file for it... and had the text editor open and waiting. It seems like I should be able to stay on track better than I have been... but that has assuredly been 'easier said than done' lately.

The last few days I have been really 'out of it' and although I am putting in a good bit of time doing relief work... I have also been napping like crazy. After realizing a few days ago just how out of shape that I have gotten... I later realized that I am also... simply exhausted on every level and need to slow down and recover.

I have to get back into shape and start getting in hikes whenever I can... because I not only need the physical exercise... but I also need the mental break of doing something else. Ideally, I should try to figure out if there is anywhere here that offers some real seclusion... and be sure to visit it (for a half hour or so) during my hikes.

Anyways, my camping tent setup has been holding up super well... and I am remaining quite warm which has been nice because I have been able to focus on a few coding projects. It has assuredly been pleasant doing my newest hobby again... but per usual, I am in such an 'exploratory mode' with what I am working on... that I wind up with way too many files to manage... no matter how well organized I keep things.

On a different note, with all the recent chilly weather... and below freezing temperatures... I have noticed a fair amount of condensation soaking the tent in a few places. Apparently, when I covered the tent in polyethylene and staked it out (and down) I did a pretty good job at creating an air gap between the two... but the wind coming from the northwest tends to ruffle the sheeting more often than other areas of the tent... and shaking water droplets everywhere along the way!

For now there is not enough moisture (soaking through the tent) to cause any serious problems... and I think that as long as it does not start growing mold then I will continue to ignore it. As a side note, several days back when there was a bunch of rain... I was quite impressed with how the sheeting kept the tent from getting any rain inside of it... which was a first time occurrence during my entire stay here.

Well, I think that I am going to wrap this entry up. I hope that everyone is doing well.

A pic for last week! I keep forgetting to take pictures before sunset!

I am so happy that you finally see what I have been trying to say to you. We might be thousands of miles apart but I can still feel when things aren't right with you. Take time for yourself to breathe. I hope you find that place, mine is in the sideyard next to my desert roses.
