My husband and I usually visit places that are quite hot, in fact we currently live in a place where it is always quite hot, but we love cold places, not only the advantages they have as the lack of insects or not sweating, if not how beautiful they look at the sight of these sites.
Thinking about this we visited a beautiful place in an area that in the country where we live is cold, here in Venezuela due to its geographical location there are not the four seasons that normally occur in other countries, only summer and winter or where I live better known as rainy season and dry season. In the dry seasons the heat is super more intense, so it was the date we decided to travel to Mount Carmelo, Trujillo state for there in late March early April.

An area that for a person who lives in a place with a tropical climate where it is always hot, is super cold. I remember that upon arrival we saw that none of the rooms had air conditioners or fans of any kind, and honestly even though there were none we were always super warm and wrapped up with blankets, something difficult for tropical bodies.
But the experience was not torturing at all, it was super nice and different, although sometimes the cold got into our bones and when I washed my hair it never dried naturally, I loved the weather. I was surprised to realize that many of the activities I normally do, were a little easier to accomplish there because of the weather, for example a one hour walk in the heat of the area where I live can be quite strenuous, but there it was not at all.

Monte Carmelo is an extremely beautiful place that is full everywhere of vegetation, spectacularly tall trees of all kinds, plus super beautiful plants and flowers that I honestly met for the first time there, although it is a small town, it is quite nice, clean and picturesque, the people all super friendly and polite, also in love with coffee.
I didn't take pictures of it but in the middle of town there was a house with a huge mill and they grind coffee for sale, or even whoever needed to bring their coffee beans to send it to be ground there. What made the town in general had that little smell of coffee everywhere, but a pure and new coffee, you can imagine how Monte Carmelo smells.

Around the town there were some nearby communities that could only be reached by climbing the mountain, we went to visit one of these places called "la amarilla", it took us 4 hours to climb it (for those who live there it only takes 2 or even 1) When we arrived it was already noon and being a little higher, we experienced a lot more cold, we controlled it with coffee and a lentil soup that they gave us for lunch.
Going up was a bit complicated for me, I quickly ran out of air and we had to make stops, that's why it took us so long to go up, but the way up was great because everything was very beautiful, even the way the fog followed us looked like a spectacle. The trees and fruit plants were like mountains over there, and everywhere the tallest banana trees I have ever seen in my life.

The hot tropical areas have their advantages, like being able to take your hair outdoors or go to the beach, but I am a cold team, the cold areas have a particular charm, they are calm, full of tranquility and obviously freshness. We met very kind people who were attentive to us, to the point that every time we arrived at a house where they didn't even know us they offered us a cup of coffee for the cold, super nice.
Trujillo is a small town to spend a quiet time, just as I like the truth. I love quiet places where there is no excessive noise or pollution and above all where I can enjoy nature and its variety.
