Hello friends of the Hive Open Mic Community, my name is @jesus-son and I welcome you all to my blog on this occasion in which we are to reflect on the theme of "A Taste of Betrayal" in this week #232 of the community's weekly events. It's my pleasure to connect with you all on this. I hope that you would find my post interesting.
In this post I shall reflect succinctly on the theme with the song Be magnified by the famous American gospel singer and composer Don Moen. Don Moen is a model to me, his soft way of singing and presenting every of his works is so much interesting and soul lifting. He is a multi talented musician in that he plays both the piano and violin so well and sing excellently.
The song "Be magnified", is a song of praise to God. It begins with phrases that touches the very depth of my soul. It says at the beginning, "I have made you too small in my eyes o lord, forgive me, and I have believed in a lie, that you are unable to help me". For me these words show the contritness of the repentant heart who feels guilty for having betrayed God and lived in sin.
The life of sin is a life of betrayal. One who doubts the power of God is doubting His supremacy and thus a betrayal of trust. God has endured the betrayal of mankind. In the first place, the old people of Israel whom He brought out of Egypt never acted right towards Him. They betrayed the relationship and worshipped other gods but God didn't give up on them.
God sent Jesus to rescue them and the whole human race from that damnation due to all but Jesus was still rejected. Today, we still betray the Lord by choosing the path of sin and disobedience.
But the good thing is that whenever we recognise our faults and return to God, He hears us and receives us back. Thus, this song I present is a song of return to God, seeking for His mercy for having being a betrayal of His love for me. Then magnifying Him for His unceasing love and mercy.

Hola amigos de la Comunidad Hive Open Mic, mi nombre es @jesus-son y les doy la bienvenida a todos a mi blog en esta ocasión en la que vamos a reflexionar sobre el tema de "A Taste of Betrayal" en esta semana #232 del eventos semanales de la comunidad. Es un placer conectarme con todos ustedes en esto. Espero que mi publicación te resulte interesante.
En este post reflexionaré sucintamente sobre el tema con la canción Be magnified del famoso cantante y compositor de gospel estadounidense Don Moen. Don Moen es un modelo para mí, su forma suave de cantar y presentar cada una de sus obras es muy interesante y levanta el alma. Es un músico con múltiples talentos porque toca muy bien el piano y el violín y canta de manera excelente.
El canto “Sé engrandecido”, es un canto de alabanza a Dios. Comienza con frases que tocan lo más profundo de mi alma. Dice al principio: "Te he hecho demasiado pequeño ante mis ojos, oh Señor, perdóname, y he creído en una mentira, que no puedes ayudarme". Para mí estas palabras muestran la contrición del corazón arrepentido que se siente culpable por haber traicionado a Dios y vivido en pecado.
La vida de pecado es una vida de traición. Quien duda del poder de Dios está dudando de su supremacía y, por tanto, está traicionando su confianza. Dios ha soportado la traición de la humanidad. En primer lugar, el antiguo pueblo de Israel a quien Él sacó de Egipto nunca actuó correctamente con Él. Traicionaron la relación y adoraron a otros dioses, pero Dios no los abandonó.
Dios envió a Jesús para rescatarlos a ellos y a toda la raza humana de esa condenación debida a todos, pero Jesús todavía fue rechazado. Hoy en día, todavía traicionamos al Señor al elegir el camino del pecado y la desobediencia.
Pero lo bueno es que siempre que reconocemos nuestras faltas y volvemos a Dios, Él nos escucha y nos recibe. Por eso, este canto que presento es un canto de retorno a Dios, buscando Su misericordia por haber sido una traición a Su amor por mí. Luego magnificándolo por Su incesante amor y misericordia.
