Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I missed the result screen of the previous brawl so I need to pay a bit more attention. My battle results were about average this time around.
Brawl fights
I won 2 fights, won 1 fight due to surrender, and lost the other 3. Below is an idea of the match and a few thoughts about it, but it's a great result. I am still in the bronze foil gold foil brawl spot. This means that I won't be at a level disadvantage and should expect more wins. It's more or less what I expected with my limited cards for gold foil brawls. I am just holding onto the cards that I got from opening packs a long time ago.
You can find the first match here. I won this match because I had a stronger lineup. Combining demoralize with a shield monster in the back helped out quite a bit. It delayed my opponent and i was able to focus my damage on my opponent's lineup.
You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent just had the stronger lineup. The summoner was probably the largest factor as to why I lost. The trample added extra damage and it gave my opponent the final edge.
You can find the third match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. The summoner my opponent played was my downfall. The return fire just destroyed my backline over time and there wasn't much I could do.
You can find the fourth match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. My opponent didn't make the most of his mana so it was a fairly easy win.
You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. There wasn't much I can do with all those strong opportunity monster as it wrecked my backline.
Brawl Result
I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and I got 3 wins and 3 losses. There should have been one free win then I had 4 wins which means I won more than I lost. It was a decent brawl and my rewards for the brawl were 5,429 merits and 80.551 SPS in the 4-star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards but I think we ranked in around 6th place. My guild did better than last time and it's nice to see the nice rewards
Conclusion
The brawl was decent and I like seeing the rewards go up. I am glad to see myself doing so well when there isn't any level disadvantage. There should have been some free wins and I am liking the better win rates in a lower brawl fray.
