Rising Star Weekly Giveaway #171 and Counterattack

in #hive-195370last month

Here is my weekly status and giveaway. I also talk about an OST track that I like. Please make sure to read the rules to qualify for the giveaway. I didn't have time to play Trails into Daybreak this week so I opted to talk about a track from a game that I played in the past.

Counterattack

Counterattack is an OST that plays in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 during dramatic story cutscenes. The first time it played onboard the ship, I felt that it was amazing. You knew the protagonists were struggling as they were either fighting for their lives or the moment was very important. It's the most memorable track from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for me and for good reason. This is also one of the best tracks that I know with an electric guitar. I always look back on this track fondly and it's amongst the top game music tracks that I have heard.

This track reminds me the most about the Malos because he is the opponent when this track first plays. Malos is the main antagonist in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and he even plays a large part in the prequel Torna (DLC for Xenoblade 2). He makes for a good villain, and I really like the references to the Monado from Xenoblade Chronicles 1. As a villain, he truly does not care about others as much and I feel bad that he believes that his purpose is to destroy the world. The Monado was the main weapon of Shulk in Xenoblade 1 and drew me back into it. What drew me in more was towards the end of the game when you meet the Architect and find out what Malos is and how Xenoblade 1 and 2 were connected. The image is from the wiki page for Malos and it shows you what he looks like in the prologue as a party member.

Do you like any of these tracks? If so, why?

Current Status

I gained 126k STARBITS over the past week and it looks like my STARBITs didn't sell on Hive Engine. I'll wait a bit more and see how things go. If they don't sell next week or the week after, I'll probably reduce the price. I plan to use that to get some more STARPRO. I didn't get any epic or legendary cards from my pack openings.

Current Ranking

I played less compared to last week but my rank went up. I guess those new cards that appeared this month did help me out in the rankings or others haven't been playing as much.

Tips (source)

I think the tips are something every new player should know about. It will help people progress in the game and it hasn't really been shared since surya1adiga stopped his giveaways.

  1. Take music lessons when possible to raise skill and reduce ego.
  2. Having lesson specific instruments helps in receiving more skill from that lesson.
  3. Have pizza box to store any pizza received during mission to reuse later.
  4. Buy cold pizza slice if possible. This gives 1 refill every 24hours. Comes very handy when you are low on energy.
  5. If you have enough of cold pizza slice and pizza box, you will never run out of energy.
  6. If you have more fans than skill and you won't reduce the ego , you can use a storage trailer to store unnecessary cards. Or you can list the card in market for an unreasonably high price.
  7. Ego received for a particular mission increases every time you play it. The ego is reset to base level the next day. So, try to play different missions to control the ego gained.
  8. Keep track of your achievements to unlock in game rewards
  9. Buy storage trailer (only if necessary) to keep the cards that might have a negative effect. Like a card with high fan count resulting in ego.
  10. When earning skill points through music lessons, you can earn more points per lesson if you hold more of specific instrument cards. There seems to be base skill which is rewarded irrespective of the card count and then the skill increases depending on the number of the lesson specific card one has.
  11. Try taking up many smaller missions to fill up pizza boxes and have extra energy to play more rewarding missions. But you need to have pizza boxes for this to work.
