Rising Star Weekly Giveaway #183 and F.O.E.

in #hive-1953709 days ago

Here is my weekly status and giveaway. I also talk about an OST track that I like. Please make sure to read the rules to qualify for the giveaway. I chose a track from a game that I played in the past that I liked.

F.O.E.

The weekend has been quite busy for me and I had to pick up my car today. So I just felt like listening to this track called F.O.E. from Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. It just felt so frustrating today so I like this track because it reminds me of the large special enemies in the game as you go through the dungeons. Whenever you enter a fight with these enemies, this track plays and it can be quite often when you are trying to figure out the map. It felt nice to beat some of the early ones by abusing poison and the items made from those materials dropped also came in useful to buff up my team as I played through the game.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth game this around and this is an Entrian Odyssery-like dungeon crawler on the 3DS. I liked the game because of how you could map out everything on the bottom screen and it incorporated the familiar system from the Persona games. The only I didn't like was the inventory management because you only had so much space so I found myself going back to base frequently.

The thing that I think the most about when I hear this song is the Reaper. It's been a staple as a tough enemy in the mainstream persona games since Persona 3, and we do see the Reaper again as an F.O.E. in Persona Q in the final dungeon. The reaper was a tough enemy and it always brings back memories of my experience in Persona 3 where it would appear if you stayed too long on a floor. Fighting it would be a death wish until you were near the end of the game. The image is from the reaper wiki page.

Do you like any of these tracks? If so, why?

Current Status

I gained 56k STARBITS over the past week and if you add in the millionaire mission, I got around 116k because I missed one day of that daily mission. I opened 36 packs to finally get that seasonal card. It's just one copy though but I can finally start on that seasonal mission. I did do a few throughout the week but I didn't have any luck with getting any of the seasonal instruments.

Current Ranking

My rank went down slightly. My time was about the same so I guess other players played more this week. Work has been rough this week and I was hoping to get a bit more time in today.

Tips (source)

I think the tips are something every new player should know about. It will help people progress in the game and it hasn't really been shared since surya1adiga stopped his giveaways.

  1. Take music lessons when possible to raise skill and reduce ego.
  2. Having lesson specific instruments helps in receiving more skill from that lesson.
  3. Have pizza box to store any pizza received during mission to reuse later.
  4. Buy cold pizza slice if possible. This gives 1 refill every 24hours. Comes very handy when you are low on energy.
  5. If you have enough of cold pizza slice and pizza box, you will never run out of energy.
  6. If you have more fans than skill and you won't reduce the ego , you can use a storage trailer to store unnecessary cards. Or you can list the card in market for an unreasonably high price.
  7. Ego received for a particular mission increases every time you play it. The ego is reset to base level the next day. So, try to play different missions to control the ego gained.
  8. Keep track of your achievements to unlock in game rewards
  9. Buy storage trailer (only if necessary) to keep the cards that might have a negative effect. Like a card with high fan count resulting in ego.
  10. When earning skill points through music lessons, you can earn more points per lesson if you hold more of specific instrument cards. There seems to be base skill which is rewarded irrespective of the card count and then the skill increases depending on the number of the lesson specific card one has.
  11. Try taking up many smaller missions to fill up pizza boxes and have extra energy to play more rewarding missions. But you need to have pizza boxes for this to work.
