The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I have moved to Wild League after the changes to Glint rewards and I have been liking it there. I stayed in Modern League and was able to get more rewards compared to last season. It shows that I could move up a bit further so the reward difference wasn't as large. Modern is proving to be better in terms of SPS but worst in terms of Glint by a bit. It isn't as bad as I though. This season is proving to be better than the previous season because I ranked higher and got more rewards too.
Season Rewards
I ended up in Gold III (2,160) and I got 13k Glint as a season reward. This is 5k more Glint than the previous season. I think starting in a higher league and playing more matches did help out. I ranked up higher and I was close to getting to Gold II. In the end, I kept losing quite a bit as I got close to it but maybe with some luck I can reach that next league.
Gwen's Glint Shop
Splinterlands has stated that the new reward cards will be coming out next season. So this season is the last season with the current set and you can read more about it here. I did not come close enough to maxing out my cards and there are still some cards that I am missing. However, I will just have to make do with what I got. I do plan on spending my Glint on rare reward cards because I want to see if I can upgrade a few summoners.
I grabbed how my rare cards are doing from splintercards above. All but one card is at least level 6. In addition, all of my rare summoners are now level 6. I think this is a pretty good result to end the current reward edition. I did choose to use potions again and I did get 4 gold foil cards so I didn't get unlucky like last time. I opened up 60 rare pulls.
Gladius Packs
I have been able to collect 9 packs since the last time I opened packs. Brawls gave me quite a bit of merit but I felt that my opening wasn't so great. There was only one epic card this time around and I opened more packs than last time.
I was able to upgrade Ajax Lightfoot to level 5. This card has bloodlust to start and it has dodge at level 4. Increasing its level gave it one more health. It didn't add too much to the card but that extra health could be quite helpful depending on the situation.
SPS
My SPS rewards were higher because of my ranked battles and brawls. It went up a lot compared to last season as it nearly doubled for both parts.
My pool reward for the season is 139.075 SPS but I clicked a bit too fast and forgot to take a screenshot. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards for a total of 321.485 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected and this came out a little bit later than usual. I stacked up the VOUCHERS again so I wonder if I should try a few Wild seasons until the VOUCHERS are used up or if I should just save them for a purchase later.
Conclusion
Modern isn't as bad as I thought but it hurts to leave energy wasted. I don't have enough fights at night but if I can get more done, then my rewards will naturally increase as well. I'll have to see if I can do more fights at night and make sure there is less energy wasted. At the same time, this is the last season with the current cards and we will have new cards starting next season.
