Splinterlands is a pretty complicated game and there are some interesting battles with all the options available. This is a part of the weekly social media challenge for Splinterlands. This week, it's about an interesting fight that I had against cards that I never fought before
Featured cards
Eternal Tofu is an earth and light summoner that costs 7 mana. This summoner gives +2 health, snare, and thorns to all monsters. You are also given a choice of giving corrosive ward and divine shield to three monsters or scavenger and triage to one monster. I don't have this summoner but it sounds quite overpowered just from all the cards and abilities that it gives.
Rule set, Battle and Plan
The ruleset this time is Explosive Weaponry and Stampede. This means that all monsters gain the blast ability and trample monsters will continue until a monster doesn't die. There are 47 mana available and I am left with the choice of fire, earth, life, or death splinter.
Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
---|---|---|---|
Conqueror Jacek | 6 | Summoner | +2 speed, scattershot and piercing |
Grum Flameblade | 11 | 1st | Bloodlust, Void Armor and Void |
Chaos Agent | 1 | 2nd | Dodge |
Lava Launcher | 9 | 3rd | Close Range |
Tenyii Striker | 5 | 4th | Sneak and Dodge |
Supply Runner | 6 | 5th | Swiftness |
Rush Townsend | 9 | 6th | Ambush and Affliction |
Total Mana: | 47 |
My summoner is Conqueror Jacek because it gives +2 speed, scattershot, and piercing to all of my monsters. In this fight, I think having a fast speed is better for taking out my opponent because that blast damage adds up and with some luck from scattershot, I can hit a wide number of cards. My tank is Grum Flameblade because of bloodlust, void armor, and void. It will do a decent job of surviving attacks to give my monsters a chance to attack. I have a filler monster in 2nd. Then I have Lava Launcher as a backup tank with close range. I have one sneak monster followed by two more ranged monsters. Supply runner has swiftness to increase my speed and Rush Townsend will be a good damage dealer due to ambush and its fast speed.
Round 1
At first glance, I think that this match will be tough. My opponent has an amazing summoner and a bunch of magic monsters. I am glad that I used Grum with void as it will give my backline a chance to attack. I do think that I can win and I do have the speed advantage.
Round 2
I think I had fairly good luck during my first round as both I and my opponent lost one monster. I was able to stack up one bloodlust and damage most of my opponent's monsters to an extent. The damage that I took was minimal due to Grum.
Round 3
I was able to take out two monsters while my opponent only took out one monster. My sneak monster died off due to the thorns damage, but I think I won this match. My speed advantage will make it unlikely for me to miss and I will attack first with my damage dealers.
I ended up winning the match later that round because I didn't miss
Conclusion
The battle this time around did go as I expected but I was scared when I saw this summoner and all the abilities that it had. There was also a mimic monster so I was scared about what it could do against my team but that monster didn't survive too long. Overall, I think my choice of using fast ranged monsters worked out well. My opponent couldn't do much as I always got the first move in from my entire party due to the 2 speed from my summoner and 1 from supply runner. I was able to overcome the taunt monster with the scattershot from my summoner as it ignored it.
