I would have loved to sacrifice the little to have more, and this may just be how life is viewed. We want to spend little and have much at our disposal. We are often willing to let go of some comforting resources when we know we are going to gain far more than we may have lost. But would I go against my morals and values and commit atrocities or actions that would negatively impact a few just for the comfort of many? What if life was involved in the sacrifices to be made, and if the world would be a better place, would I yet do something my conscience would prick me for?
Making such a decision remains dicey as humanly; I want the world and society to be a better place to live. I would rather everyone continues to live in whichever position we have found ourselves in. I believe in purpose for every living creature, and wronging a few people to right the lives of the majority would be tantamount to rewriting the scripts of chance at the detriment of a few selected individuals.
Every life on earth has a fundamental destiny to be fulfilled, and along the way come opportunities and chances that, if well explored, may change our positions in life, not necessarily always but where the enabling environment is.
We believe giving out the little we have would expose us to better opportunities, but unfortunately, this is not always the same. An example is the use of biological weapons such as deadly viruses or bacteria to harm human existence in the bid to regulate population growth and hopefully have access to limited resources. A similar pandemic recently ravaged the world, and some speculations and rumors had it that part of the intent was to reduce the population of some selected countries and continents. However, today, life has continued despite surviving the recent pandemic with no significant improvement in life or living.
As enticing as it is to lose values and morality in the pursuit of happiness and comfort of the larger group at the expense of a few, I would rather we continue living in conditions of disparity of resources while encouraging the fair distribution of available resources to all and sundry.
