The after-effects of being drunk

Alcohol remains an intoxicating drink when consumed in excess or a relative amount beyond the normal. Right before getting drunk in the actual sense, the consumer could even get tipsy and experience a distortion in orientation. I had a friend in freshman year who got himself tipsy, and his recap of the experience was funny. He said for every step he took, he felt as if he was floating or about to fly. This was the day after he had some shots of alcohol.

There was an instructor I had in high school who was notorious for getting drunk and misbehaving afterwards, mostly in words and actions. There was one morning we were called from the hostel and told to assist the tutor in lifting out his car that fell into a gutter. Well, he came in during the late hours of the night. The school compound was quite large and definitely had no traffic during such hours. Your guess is right; he must have lost coordination and landed his car into the gutter. Thankfully, the tutor didn't lose coordination on a highway that was just outside of our school gate. There is a popular safety slogan that says, "Don't drink and drive." We all know many accidents have been caused by drunken drivers, and beyond the havoc done to the drivers, it leaves a permanent scar on the innocent victims.

Another fresh episode I can remember vividly is that of a neighbor who got drunk after a game session. We had organized a house party, and all sorts of drinks were made available. During such parties, it takes a strong will and refusal to not take alcohol, as games are often played, and when one loses, a shot of a drink (usual high alcoholic content) would be required to be drunk as a one-shot by the loser. Well, a neighbor of mine intentionally got drunk, and thankfully, it was towards the tail end of the party, as the lovely man who once coordinated the affairs of the party soon became a nuisance as he began to say different manners of words, including vulgar. I felt embarrassed on his behalf, especially because he was someone to respect as an older person. It was heartbreaking to see him act disgruntled.

Alcohol comes in different strengths, which are weighed by the percentage. Alcohol consumption is often taken by those with heavy hearts and may require to have the burden lifted. Unfortunately, this is only a temporary solution, and the aftermath effect of the alcohol consumed is the persistence of the troubling factor. As much as alcohol relieves even temporarily, it gives an aftermath troubling consequences or complications, which can be from poor coordination or disorientation to as much as devastating health conditions.

And for the few selected that find it hard to do away with alcohol, consuming it in moderation is a great gain, as health is a resource for good living.

Alcohol doesn't have respect for age or anointing, once someone gives it access to have control, then watch out to take the person to cloud 9
