Hello #Hive monochromatic friends!... Today as usual, I woke up around 5:00 AM, went to the kitchen and made coffee, fed my cats and dogs while talking to them and went out to my backyard to observe the weather and decide what to do at that time while drinking my cup of hot coffee...

¡Hola amigos monocromáticos de #Hive!... Hoy como sai siempre, desperté cercano a las 5:00 AM, fuí a la cocina y preparé café, dí de comer a mis gatos y a mis perros mientras hablaba con ellos y salí a mi patio trasero para observar el clima y decidir qué hacer a esa hora mientas bebía mi tasa de café caliente...

The dawn promised a warm morning, moderately clear, with wisps of mist allowing the first sunrays to pass... This is just the right weather for a walk in the hills near the village. So I grab my camera, head out of my garage door and head west out of town, leaving the tarmac roads behind and plunging onto the dirt roads along the edge of the valley and up a few metres into the surrounding hills... This is something that I am lucky to have at my disposal with very little effort, as the urban area of the village ends only 250 metres from my house and there I start to enter into this more natural environment...

El amanecer prometía una mañana cálida, medianamente despejada, con gajos de niebla tenue permitiendo el paso de los primeros rayos solares... Este es justo el clima ideal para ir a caminar a la colinas cercanas al pueblo. Así que tomé mi cámara, salí por la puerta de mi garaje y puse rumbo al Oeste del pueblo para dejar las calles asfaltadas detrás y sumergirme en los caminos de tierra a través del borde del valle y subiendo algunos metros en las colinas que lo rodean... Esto es algo lo cual tengo la suerte de tener a mi disposición haciendo muy poco esfuerzo, pues el caso urbano del pueblo termina a apenas unos 250 metros de mi casa y allí mismo comienzo a adentrarme en este ambiente más natural...

This may sound strange, but about 12 years ago my ‘Monday awakenings’ were a traumatic event, as I usually had to leave my house and drive 50 km to immerse myself in miles of dense car traffic, arrive at my office and spend a day between desks, meetings, data centres, get on a plane in the middle of the week, be away from home for days and then return home at the end of the week (when work allowed me to do so)... So, now to be able to wake up on a Monday and be able to walk at the foot of the mountain, is for me an event to be grateful for and something that makes me understand the magnitude of the turnaround that has taken place in the way I lead my life from then until now? Something for which I am undoubtedly thankful.

Esto puede sonar extraño, pero hace unos 12 años atrás mis "despertares de Lunes" eran un evento traumático, pues por lo general tenía que salir de mi casa y manejar 50 km para sumergirme en kilómetros de trafico automotor denso, llegar a mi oficina y pasar un día entre escritorios, reuniones, centros de datos, subirme a un avió a mitad de semana, estar días fuera de casa y entonces retornar al final de la semana a mi casa (cuando así el trabajo me lo permitía)... Entonces, ahora poder despertar un lunes y poder caminar al pie de la montaña, es para mi un evento digno de agradecer y algo que me hace entender la magnitud del giro que ha dado mi forma de llevar adelante mi vida en desde entonces hasta ahora... Algo de lo cual me siento agradado indudablemente.

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
