How are my friends, followers of this splendid ¨FungiFridayCommunity¨:  What a joy to be here again accompanying our friend @ewkaw in this wonderful ¨FungiFridayContest¨:   an initiative that does not waste time, since participating regularly will allow you to acquire valuable knowledge about the ¨world¨ of ¨níscalos¨

What I admire most about this contest is that you have the opportunity to learn or expand your knowledge about mushrooms, since by researching the species of mushrooms you find you learn more and more. This small and beautiful fungus belongs to the group known as ¨Hongo¨coprófilo¨:  this is the name given to any species that develops on the surface of ¨manure¨

Another very interesting species to find that you can learn a lot about are those known as fungi ¨Trametes¨:  This is one of those genera that has at least half a dozen species that you can identify. These fungi need the surface of wood or tree trunks to develop, they are fungi with beautiful shapes and color combinations that are worth seeing

Of the mushrooms we found this time, I think this is the most interesting to learn about, the ¨Ganoderma¨:  they grow on the surface of wood, in an area with the climate we have in my city. It is evident that under the grass where we found this beautiful specimen there is a tree stump that allows this fungus to grow

Of the three genera that I am introducing you to on this occasion, this is the genus that has the most species, so that you have an idea, it has more than seven dozen species and one of them is this one known as ¨Ganoderma¨sessile¨:  they are not one of those species of mushrooms that you look for to prepare a recipe, these mushrooms have other uses and "healing" powers. For those who don't know, I'll tell you that we took the photos with our "nikoncoolpixb500" camera.
