Do You Have A Father?
Here's the life of a man who lost everything he inherited, earned, received as a gift, etc., but had just one thing left: A FATHER!
Here is a world said to be ruled by men but controlled by women. A world where men's efforts are not seen as significant anymore; the world sees their efforts as an obligation expected from every man. Meanwhile, an appreciation for their labor goes a long way in relieving his stress, anxiety, pressure, etc.
This is an era where we tend to encourage women by granting them free opportunities to dominate certain cadres, which is a good trend to embrace. However, we are carefully wiping off the men who are in desperate need to meet the demands of their family.
I am that very child whom my dad has sacrificed for in order to be what I am today. I am that very child who will never neglect the effort of my father in meeting the needs of the family. A father who was a professional teacher, selling in school simultaneously, and offering a dispatch ride in the evening when coming back from school. A father who makes sure we are satisfied without thinking of his own self.
I am that very child who didn't appreciate my father's efforts in the past until I started living an independent life. Then life began to hit me hard, and I realized I had a "father" who gives me anything I ask for. Despite living independently, when I run home any day, he embraces me and treats me like his child who knows nothing about himself. He is a father who taught me how to smile in the midst of the storms; a father whose favorite word is "EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT."
With tears in my heart, I want to appreciate you, Dad. Most of the paths I take to be successful, I do them not minding if it pleases me, but I do them just to make you proud at the end of it all. The reward you are gaining now is the least you will ever get, because more rewards are coming to you to prove my gratitude towards your deeds.
I do not need to wait for another FATHER'S DAY to appreciate you. Every day is a blessing that I can't take for granted. I have just one prayer for you, father: "You will live to completely enjoy your labor."
