A Certain Airdop ($GRASS) has been trending on Twitter, and it is not for the right reasons; apparently, a lot of people have been farming this airdop for over a year, and they are disappointed that their allocation point was terrible.
So I heard that this project has a total supply of one billion, and it appears that most people received between one and 500 points, with the exception of some influencers who received three figures. However, we do not know what price this token will list at or how much liquidity will be available on centralized exchanges.
We also do not know the hype surrounding it, but people being bearish about their points has already created some FUD, which is not good for a project that did airdop before listing on exchanges.
However, these guys have the potential to generate a massive market capitalization, and many people will profit handsomely as a result. For the time being, they are not yet listed.
However, there are many details I have yet to obtain. For example, we do not know if people farmed the airdrop for a year, as many Twitter users have claimed. Are there any monetary requirements for farming?
For example, catizen requires you to put some money in to get better airdop incentives, among other things, but if the $GRASS airdop was completely free to farm, I believe people who farmed it would have to be patient to see what price the coin would list at.
For me, one year is a long time to farm an airdop, and if they were not handsomely incentivizing people for the entire time, it would have been a terrible thing.
Pixelverse, for example, is arguably the worst airdop in history because the game's owners became extremely greedy and messed up everything, and no, the project will most likely not succeed as planned due to the project owners' greed.
Unfortunately, not all airdop will reward you for investing time, effort, and money. Some people want to farm their community and nothing else.
I have heard from OG airdop hunters that there were times in the past when people could bag $5,000 airdops; I am not sure how true this is, but the space is actually extremely saturated. There is no longer any way to predict which projects will succeed.
There are many tesnets that are promising and cost between $5 and $20, while others are completely free, but you can not just go out there and throw money at every project you see.
Most airdop hunters' goal is to raise 5 to 10k$ from nothing, so they expect to earn more than they spend. I began my journey a few months ago and had to put in some money here and there. The reason is that I wanted to maximize my gains, and I am still waiting to see if the time and effort will be worthwhile.
You will not get rich farming airdrops; I believe those days are over, but they are great for people starting out in crypto with no money. You can actually raise capital to invest in the market by farming the right project.
For me, the first airdrop I actually spent money on was the catizen play-to-earn game on Telegram, and that was because I thought it had the potential to earn me up to $200 and even more then that. Now, this potential earning may not be much, but imagine getting 100$ hive at 16 cents and hive x15s in about 6 to 8 months. That is pure profit for not moving a muscle.
So I am farming a lot of airdop; $DOGS, for example, netted me over 52$ initially, and I have gotten a little more. Although it was not enough for me to invest with, I am hoping to get some that are better down the road. If you did not take the majority of the airdop projects on Telegram three to four months ago, as well as some others that aren't, I am sorry, but you may be too late.
Many projects will conduct airdrops in September and October, while others may wait until November. You can start looking for other potential projects that may be worthwhile. I just started pocketFI, so if you need the link, please ask me in the comments section. If you also farmed $GRASS, please let me know how many allocation/points you received.
