For my mixed media art project, my theme is "Weeds of Wonderment". My pure fractals I created in Apophysis 7X, the advanced fractal rendering program, served as the basis of my scene with the wood nymph. I love the color purple and chose fractals already created in those colors. Blending various mixed media is a fun exercise I enjoy immensely to see well different items fit together for a particular theme.
Below are my steps:
I knew I wanted a flower setting for the scene. The weeds I envisioned would be beautiful weeds to accompany the lovely female image I retrieved from the stable diffusion program, StarryAI. All that was required was to remove the background from the diffusion image.

Other images in addition to my pure fractals were colorful flowers used to create an ethereal garden atmosphere. Rendered on transparent backgrounds, I love how my fractals blend seamlessly with other types of mixed art.

I then utilized Canva to blend the different type images. I leave with you my procedures which begin with a blank, white canvas. I then add layers of elements in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership that includes tools to remove backgrounds, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required. Perhaps of all the tools, the ability to remove backgrounds thereby creating transparencies of the images is crucial to the blending process.
