It was a Benz 4matic, the first car I ever fell in love with - a black one, to be precise. As I entered the car and sat comfortably in the back seat, the air coming out of the AC sent chills down my spine. As I sat on the leather seat, my whole body felt welcome, as if it had found the right place. I'm pretty sure that if my body had a mouth of its own, it would have whispered, "This is where I belong," into my ears. I rested my back against the seat, seeking comfort. My eyes suddenly started wandering from one place to another - from the steering wheel to the gearbox and everything about the front seats. Although music was playing on the music player, my ears were closed, and my eyes had taken control, lost in awe of the car's beauty. Unlike most cars I’d driven, the engine veered silently. I was the one driving, but it looked easy on the hand. “Cheers to the geniuses who made this car,” I said as the car zoomed off when I got down.
The black Benz 4matic opened my eyes to the world of cars and made me fall deeply in love with them. I love cars, and I have been a fan of them since that day. From GTRs, to BMWs, and the Lamborghini, Ferrari, Mclaren and my favorite, the mighty Supra, the list of cars I love goes on and on. Watching videos about cars is like therapy for me. On some of my social media accounts, you can't scroll through more than 6 videos without seeing a video of a car. I have built my algorithm to the extent that out of 10 videos on my for you page, at least three will be about cars. There are many cool cars. Technology has taken over the world and companies continue to produce cool cars. This begs the question; out of the many cars in the world, which one is my dream and why is it my dream car?
As someone who loves everything about cars and is almost slightly obsessed with them, it took a whole lot for me before I could arrive at my dream car. Not because there weren't any cool cars, but because the list was too long and it was difficult to pick just one. When I had just become a lover of cars, my dream car was the Benz 4matic. At that time, I could have sworn that nothing would make me choose another car over Benz 4matic. It was my definition of “a dream car.” With time, I realized I was only being ignorant. Now that I am a huge fan of cars, Benz 4matic isn't part of my top 5 cars. Other cars have kicked it down to number six, if I'm being generous.
My dream car is the Toyota Supra MK4. Before I go on to discuss why this car is my dream car and how I can go hours talking about how awesome it is, I Should mention that I have never had the chance to sit in one or see it in person. I've only seen it in movies and Instagram videos, yet, despite this, I know much about it. I don’t know if this sounds weird, but have you ever seen a picture and video of something and instinctively thought “Oh! Yes, this thing would look good on me!” That is exactly the thought that came to my mind the first time I saw a Supra MK4. Deep within my bones, I felt the car was produced just because of me. The first time I saw a Supra MK4 was in one of the parts of Fast and Furious. Out of the many reasons this car is my dream car, the one that tops the list is the instant connection. I fell in love with Supra Mk4 the first time I saw it.
Moving on to the design. I love portable and cool-looking cars. A car that speaks a thousand words. Merely looking at a Toyota Supra MK4, you'll definitely know that this car is the real deal. It is not only a head turner, but also a neck breaker. You know, the type of car that passes by, and you turn your neck to the extent that you almost strain it. One of the iconic features I love about the Toyota Supra is the headlights- the pop-up headlights. Another feature that adds to the beauty is the Iconic Rear spoiler on the Toyota Supra MK4. You know the stuff that hangs on the rear of cars? Yeah, those ones. Imagine going on a date with your partner, the weather is nice and the sky is dark. Imagine sitting on the rear and putting your food on the rear spoiler or just placing your hands on it as you talk. The thought alone makes me smile.
Aside from the design, the Toyota Supra Mk4 is my dream car because of its performance. This car can accelerate from 0-60 mph in around 5 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph. I've seen many videos, including hilarious ones of how fast Supras, particularly Mk4 can do. It is the kind of car that leaves other cars in the dust. It also has an inline 6 engine, producing 220- 230 horsepower. In simple words, it can go super fast. The sound it makes when it veers is super cool. Just search for “ratatatata” on TikTok and see for yourself.
It's only a matter of time before I see myself in my dream car, with my hands on the steering wheel, driving and enjoying life while doing so.
