This weeks Battle Mage Challenge is about the Odd Ones Out rule.
Splinterlands tells us the following about the Odd Ones Out rule:
Description:
Only units with odd mana costs may be used.
Summoners are not affected by this rule.
In odd ones out, half the cards are not playable. In my opinion, one of the most clear threats in this mode is that almost all Sneak units are still available. It is therefore smart to provide some protection against that in this rule.
Generally, both Odd Ones Out and Even Stevens are quite limiting in terms of being able to play very strong combinations of cards. Both rules tend to be more about picking strong individual cards.

Battle progress and Result
Round one starts with the Regal Peryton, who does 4 magic damage to my Kulu, and enrages it. Having been enraged, its now Kulu's turn, and he strikes Pelacor Mercenary for 8. Together, the Angelic Mandarin and Tide Biter bring down the pelacor, who retaliates at Tide Biter. Tide biter then tramples onto Mycelic Morphoid. Fortunately, the Tide Biter takes no Thorns damage due to Reflection Shield. Then we're at a spot that looks pretty good for me:
Next, the slow attacker units do their hits. Hardy Rockfish and Spirit hoarder do 4 damage to the Hill Giant, while Djinn Biljka does 3 to Kulu. This leaves us at this state going into round 2.
Here, Regal Peryton does 3 damage before Kulu Strikes and kills both the Hill Giant and the Venari Seedsmith. Then, my Pelacor Bandit finishes the match by striking Regal Peryton and trampling onto the Djinn Biljka.
