I was never really into B-movies, or any kind of stuff like the films we've been watching recently. Occasionally me and my dad would watch some of the sharknado type movies, but I was never really into them as much as he was.
But, that all changed after watching Hot Frosty last week.
A Brush With Christmas
After Hot Frosty, we were kind of bored the following night so decided to throw on one of the many Christmas movies on Netflix, starting with this one.
I have to say, it is just the right amount of cringe, predictability and heart.
Something about the movie at times felt like it was written by AI, which it may well have been, but neither of us really minded.
It was fun enough to keep us engaged and watching, while also being dull enough to have us cracking jokes and laughing along at our own commentary.
Think of Mystery Science Theatre 3000, that's kind of what we were like during the film and the others that followed.
In the film, the main character Wyatt comes to stay with his friend David. During the movie, we noticed that poor David literally didn't leave his house, and at that, he was always confined to his garage. Then, our laughing at him never being allowed to leave his garage turned into a subplot - in our minds - where he was actually a serial killer who lured the other characters to his home.
It was a fun movie. It's based on two artists falling in love - hence the punderful title - and because of the amount of art shown, we're convinced that the creators of this had a family member, or friend who was an artist, slaving over the art pieces for the film, most likely chained up in David's garage while doing so.

Since A Brush With Christmas, we've watched about 4 or 5 other films, some of which we can't even remember the names of.
Aimee was laughing at the fact that we struggled, and I mean struggled, to find any Halloween films to watch, yet we've been able to find an abundance of these cheesy Christmas movies thanks to Netflix, and we haven't actually checked Disney, or Amazon which no doubt have plenty of films of their own.
Currently, we just pick one at random without reading anything about the movie and that's the way they should be enjoyed I think.
I'd advise anyone to give it a whirl, and share some suggestions if you have any that you've seen recently.
It would be fun to set up a bit of a review party, where we can share our watches and share each others little inner story ideas we had while watching the particular films.
