SPLINTERLANDS SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE (IMPROVEMENTS AND ADJUSTMENTS)

in #hive-18430910 days ago

This season I haven’t been as active as I hoped to be because of two main reasons. First I was discouraged from my multiple losses (as I shared in my last week’s post) Secondly I started some offline activities that needed my attention full time. It’s not been easy for me in the offline world, but when I came into the splinterlands world yesterday which was barely 2 days to the end of the season my winning rate increased rapidly. Perhaps the algorithm decided to have mercy on me after multiple losses. For a start, I had a win streak from 8 straight battles before the algorithm decided it was time to start dealing with me again.

I was moving so fast that I who had 2 wins in 13 games now has a total of 57 wins in 109 games which leaves me with a current win rate of 52.3% slightly higher than last season which although accumulated from way fewer games, has a better win rate. But then again all the lessons I have been accumulating over my period of losing were beginning to pay off. About 50% of the times I lost, I wasn't either satisfied with my card selection and even saw better ways I could have beaten myself before the cards played out but it was either I was too fast, or didn’t pay attention to details.

Another thing that made me lose the remaining 50% of the time was not checking my opponent's style of play before selecting my cards. I have noticed that I perform better when I check out my opponents style of play and are able to predict the kind of cards I should expect. Although this doesn’t work 100% of the time, 65% of the time it has helped me take out my opponent and for the remaining 35% it was either a lucky win (From my opponent) or a silly mistake from my end. Hardly was I beaten hands down after analyzing the cards. But then again, there are still people you can never predict, especially those ones who do not have a particular style of play.

One major adjustment I have added to my playing style is using summoners with high mana for high mana battles and the once with low manner for low manner battles. I know this doesn’t look like much, but if you pay attention to it you would benefit a lot from it. Why do you think cards with high manners give monsters more stats hehe… Another thing is using more than one attacking or defending strategy in your cards. For example if you use two monsters that make your team swift gives you more swift abilities, but what if the summoner gives an extra two… Your monsters automatically are able to escape a lot of melee attacks.

Truth be told the splinterlands game is very unpredictable, but that’s just what makes it fun and if you think you will like to try out all the amazing experiences, feel free to join in here
