Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. In this post, I take everyone to see thai temples in the northern again. This temple is called Wat Prathummawas or Wat Nong Bua. Wat Prathummawas is the common temple of Nong Bua village. Rural village in Fang District, Chiang Mai Province. This temple is an old temple approximately 127 years old. The temple was allowed to be established as a temple in AD 1897. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in AD 1996 or 28 years ago.
The atmosphere outside the temple inside Nong Bua village.
Wat Prathummawas is another temple built in the beautiful Lanna art style (Original Northern Thai art) and has a clear Lanna style identity. Both ordination hall (ubosot), buddha image hall (viharn), buddha image, pagoda and arched entrance.
Wat Prathummawas sign.
The temple's arch is made of wood and is different from other temples. But this arch is a beautiful and unique Lanna style arch.
The ordination hall (ubosot) of this temple is another ordination hall (ubosot) that my wife and I like. Even though this ordination hall (ubosot) was just recently completed. But we can clearly see the ordination hall (ubosot) and the patterns of the ordination hall (ubosot) that are unique to the original Lanna art style.
The area in front of the ordination hall (ubosot).
The side area of the ordination hall (ubosot). And the area behind the ordination hall (ubosot).
The temple's buddha image hall (viharn) is also built in the Lanna art style. Although this buddha image hall (viharn) is not as outstanding as the ordination hall (ubosot). But there is beauty in the art of northern Thailand. Unfortunately, there was a religious ceremony in the buddha image hall (viharn) that day. So we did not want to disturb and did not enter the buddha image hall (viharn). And i think certainly inside of this buddha image hall (viharn) is beautiful.
The temple's buddha image hall (viharn).
The pagoda of this temple is beautiful as well. This pagoda is a polygonal shape which is different from other temples that my wife and I have visited. Especially the foundation of the pagoda which is built in the shape of a large lotus. We have visited more than 100 temples. But this pagoda is another one that we really like.
A large buddha image in the courtyard in front of the temple is another highlight of the temple. This buddha image is also a buddha image made in the Lanna art style. Looks beautiful and unique.
The front staircase of the buddha image is a staircase with 2 serpent statues. And the staircase on the side of the buddha image is a staircase with 2 giant statues.
On the walls around the temple there are many statues of elephants and lions.
Finally the area of the section containing the monks' living quarters. This area has monks' living quarters and buildings for monks. This area is a quiet area.
These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
