In my free time, I love reading novels. Even though it has ben a while since I read last, there's a particular novel that I can read over and over again without getting tired. And that's Purple Hibiscus

Kambili's mother, Beatrice , is a victim of her husband's cruelty, and her story is a powerful example of the barbaric norms that still dominate many Nigerian households.
Eugene's wealth and influence have corrupted him, leading him to prioritize his own interests over the well-being of his family. A typical example of many wealthy fathers today.
Jaja , Kambili's brother is stuck between his family's drama and a will to protect his mother and sister from an abusive father which later resulted to him replacing his mother in prison after she poisoned him.
Adichie shows how trauma can be passed down through generations, and how silence can be both a coping mechanism and a source of pain .
I'm not going to let the cat out of the bag totally because I'll prefer that you get the book and read it yourself. Purple Hibiscus is a masterpiece. It's a novel that will haunt you long after you finish reading it, with its beautiful prose, complex characters, and exploration of the human condition.
