Join me, as we walk around our garden to see the stunning views… with some snowy and frozen details all around us. I measured how deep the snow is too. What do you think it is now? Have a look at my photographs to find out 😎
If you missed yesterday my BIRDS in the SNOW post with video! Check it out: ☃️ BIRDS IN THE SNOW at my CABIN ❄️ ~ VIDEO 🎥 and PHOTOS 📸 November 2024
It covers the same days we walk around in this post 😊 but I wanted to make the birds the highlight of a separate post. As they are just so cute 🥰
With this post I’m joining in at the Wednesday Walk challenge. That is hosted by @tattoodjay every week on Wednesday.

It will tell you also the rules of joining at the Wednesday walk posts 😁 come join us! It is fun!
Today’s photographic selection will be of 26 PHOTOGRAPHS.
Dates: between 22 November and yesterday 26 November 2024.
I will follow the time stamps on them. So it looks like you are experiencing my #adventures on this #walk, to 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 #discover everything what I saw, like the little #details seen through my eyes.
Stepping out onto the porch last Friday I see a lot of snow. It is very light and fluffy… more fell during the night and morning. I see it is a lot as I hold my hand next to the balustrade that is fully covered with the snow ❄️
I head back inside and get my measuring tape.
I walk a bit away from the cabin and stick the tape into the snow all the way until it reaches the ground underneath. At this spot it is 23 CM of snow ⛄️ 9 inches for the none metric under us…
WOW 😳 that’s a lot already.
More will come in the next weeks for sure 😁 I can’t wait.
We have been snow shovelling a lot. Hahaha hubby created paths around the cabin to easily walk around. 😊
This was the view on Saturday #morning. The #sun is very low and doesn't rise much above the #mountains now.
The #nights are very cold now and some of the windows from the cabin had #ice #crystals on them… so beautiful. I just had to capture them.
The ice crystals make stunning patterns. ❄️❄️❄️
Here it is almost 1100h in the morning… still the sun is low as you can see.
We had more visitors sheltering under our cover / roof towards the basement. I see about 4 different foot prints 🐾🐾🐾 do you see them?
This track is of a large feline… the animals have more difficulties walking through the deeper snow now.
I decided we walk up the mountain a bit. This is the view with virgin snow ⛄️ no tracks or any other disturbances. Beautiful… luckily we have a few clear sky days. The blue is very soft on this Saturday, last weekend.
More views… the barn in the distance. It is now just before #sunset… the sky is colouring yellow and pink at 1400h.
Waking up on Sunday meant our winter wonderland turned into a world covered in ICE CRYSTALS ❄️❄️❄️
We had icy rain that turned all surfaces ICY 🥶
The side of the cabin… completely covered in ice crystals.
Zooming in a bit ❄️🥶 it is very cold this morning again. Even the sunshine at 10:50h isn’t melting it.
I do love details… so looking around more I see the porch lights covered in this beautiful pattern 😎
Looking up from further away.
The lights on the side are also frozen…
Let’s have a walk around to see what we can discover in the garden on this Sunday 😊
Some weeds are peeking 🫣 through the snow layers.
The fluffy snow changed in consistency…
It is hard to describe, but the icy rain and very cold nights, have turned the top layer into hard ice crystals. You could scoop it up and trow it easily around.
My fingers do melt the crystals ❄️❄️❄️ fast, I tried to show you their beautiful patterns. Did you know every ice crystal has a different pattern? No two are ever the same.
Wandering further I see some frozen dried leaves 🍂 on the end of a twig… so much to see.
We reach the area where the veggie beds are… fully covered with snow. I love this photo… the shadows the trellises create is cool 😎 Here you can see the covered roof the animals are hiding under during the nights on the right. A perfect shelter… or maybe not 😳
Walking to the front garden… the windows are covered even more with the most beautiful #patterns ❄️🥶 the #landscape #reflecting in them.
On last Monday the roads were frozen too, luckily plowed and gritted… but it did make for an interesting drive to get groceries 🫣
I loved seeing the fog in the mountains and valleys….
Yesterday on 26 Tuesday we had soft colours in the sky.
Standing a bit higher in the garden we have STUNNING VIEWS. The #lake in the distance carried some fog on it, that slowly came up the mountain 🏔️ or driveway was an ice skating ⛸️ rink.
I look closer at the lake…. The bird tree on the left. We see some birds in the tree top sitting on the branches eating the seeds 🥰
So many details to see just wandering around our garden, and every day it is different. Especially now with the snow and ice ☃️❄️
…and here I say that’s all for today’s post my friends.
Join me next time for more #updates, #adventures, #stories and #photographs 😎👋🏻
Even my own #artworks, once in a while, will come by” 🎨
