Hello Summoners! Splinterlands has just released a new update called Training Mode. It's a new fun way to play the game. It's as close to a PvE type of play that I wished the game has. It allows players to do battle with all cards thereby discovering card combinations that one doesn't have. There are no rewards but it doesn't require energy either. It's as the name says: to train players to have the best card combinations in every battle. For me, it's a new fun way to play as I can use cards like Tofu or Max Pruitt that I don't have in my deck. I can also play with max level cards compared to the gold level cards that I have. In this post, let's check out #SplinterlandsTrainingMode!

Playing with Training Mode

Training mode can be accessed in the top left of the main page.

Clicking training brings the following dialogue box.

You will have the following choices.

Difficulty

You will be playing with bots so here you can choose how good the bot is. You can choose Easy, Medium or Hard.

Allowed Cards

Here you can choose which cards you want to play with. The choices are All Cards, Modern, Ghost Cards and Ghost Modern.

Summoner Level Caps

This allows you to play with max level summoners or if you want, you can play with your current level summoners. You can choose the following card levels:

Novice - Common (1), Rare (1), Epic (1), Legendary (1)
Adept - Common (3), Rare (2), Epic (2), Legendary (1)
Intermediate - Common (5), Rare (4), Epic (3), Legendary (2)
Advanced - Common (8), Rare (6), Epic (5), Legendary (3)
Expert - Common (Max), Rare (Max), Epic (Max), Legendary (Max)

My Training

I wanted to try playing in Modern with max level cards. I wanted to play with cards that I wanted that I don't have in my deck and see how they synergize with cards I already have. With this in mind, I picked the following choices:

I played battles using Eternal Tofu, Akane and Elias Max Pruitt. These are all max level legendary summoners that I don't have. I also tried max level legendary units like Heloise the Hollow, Mantaroth and Ulfga the Blighted. It's so much fun to play with cards with all their abilities maxed. I discovered new combos and team synergies that I don't know about.

Benefits of Training Mode

Training mode allows us to battle with bots which optimize card combinations. We can also play with different card levels which will allow us to maximize our strategies in levels like Bronze, Silver or Gold. We can also determine which cards are lacking in our deck to improve our teams. Thus, training mode will improve our gameplay and makes players ready to battle in any situations or rulesets.
