A new Japanese restaurant that I recently went to visit. This restaurant is called Kuro and this place serves halal muslim friendly Japanese food. The whole restaurant looks aesthetically pleasing. Japanese restaurants are quite popular here in Miri and many nice Japanese restaurants are constantly opening. I was hungry and went to Kuro Japanese restaurant for lunch.
This restaurant is modern and minimalistic.
Lots of Japanese-themed posters on the wall. While waiting for the food, you can just walk around look at the posters on the wall, and just admire them.
The colours used by this restaurant are on the brighter warm yellow and brown floors. A comfortable experience where you feel like you walking into your kitchen.
Japanese lanterns hang on the outside.
Kuro Japanese restaurant
We ordered a cup of Avacado smoothie. Yummy. I absolutely love this creamy drink. Delicious.
There is also matcha powder sprinkled at the top of the drink. Well blended and superbly delicious. It's always great to have a cup of smoothie on any hot day.
I took some more pictures of the interior of the restaurant.
The first dish.
Salmon sushi. The salmon is slightly cooked with some mayo at the top.
The next dish is also a salmon dish but with lots of fried tempura crumbs.
A bowl of salmon fillet rice
The salmon in this dish are all medium-cooked. Still slightly raw but also most of the parts cooked. There is a half boiled egg in the middle where when you press on it, the yolk comes flowing outwards and to the rice. Covers up most of the rice.
A nice Sakura tree at the front of the restaurant.
