Hi my friends… thanks for always reading my posts. My apologies if sometimes I am late to reply any comments. Today, I am going to showcase some photos I took around Miri this month.
Miri is a city located in the state of Sarawak on the island of Borneo and part of Malaysia. Places change and photos are the memories of what is left of the places that were different or are going to change.
A moon in the sky
I was standing there when I noticed the moon up in the sky and it was clear. So I decided to take a photo of it.
The pyramid resting area at a park
Usually, I come to this park to jog. This is one of the best spots to enjoy the evening view. The sun sets and the whole sky turns a shade of orange.
Miri City
City Rise hotel standing tall. The roads are usually calm and there aren’t many motorcyclist in the city. Most Mirians own a couple of cars at home. There is also a free bus service that goes around the city for both locals or tourist alike.
The Sarawak Palm Oil’s 18 storey office is under construction
Malaysia is one of the largest palm oil producers around the world. The crane stands tall. At times, causes traffic jam.
My neighbourhood
Most of the residents here in Miri live on land. There are some apartments but most of us enjoy living on landed properties. Looks like it is about to rain.
The older buildings mixes with the new.
There are many old budings in Miri and are rennovated.
Marina Times Square
The new central business district in Miri with lots of businesses here.
Book fair at a mall
I love book fairs. The smell of books always gets me really excited.
The free bus service here
It used to cost around 25 cents but now the Miri City Municipal has made it free. This eases the burden of the locals who may not have enough income.
Thank you very much for reading this post.
Have a wonderful day ahead.
