Brunei is one of the calmest, most peaceful countries in the world. Whenever I visit Brunei, I usually spend my time hiking in the mountains. The weather is amazing and it is usually not crowded. So all that nature to myself. That is one of the best feelings in the world.
This hiking trail is somewhere in Liang, Brunei.
Simply Picturesque.
The trails here are well-maintained and clear of grass. Not too hard to do a trail run. Anyone can come here and just have a great fun time. Running around these trails. Even for beginners.
Some of the ongoing project
Some of the trees have been cleared. This used to be dense with lots of trees. The contractor here told us that they are replanting new trees. I wonder why, if there were already trees.
My wife in her yellow shirt and purple jacket.
The weather here is hot so it is a must to have clothes to cover most of the vulnerable parts of the body.
Forest fires turned these trees into brown dead wood
However, nature can heal. After a while, this area is going to be full of small little saplings. The forest is magical. Absorption of carbon dioxide.
Usually, it takes around an hour to an hour and a half to walk these trails. Smooth trails. My mom-in-law is currently in her mid-sixties and she has the energy of any twenty-year-old.
My mom-in-law is so far ahead of me. She can walk really fast. She goes and walks these trails almost every day. Usually, if I visit Brunei and in the afternoon at around 4 pm when it's not too hot, we head to this area and hike. After that, my shirt usually gets soaking wet.
After, my wife rests at a nearby tree branch sipping some water out of her water bottle.
Do you like hiking? Always have some sunblock going up on a hike.
