Hi hi, my friends … good morning… one of my hobbies is taking photos. Having situations frozen in time for the future me to look back at. These are some of the photos that I recently took while I was around Miri. I am sure that these places will definitely look different somewhere in the future. Time waits for no one.
At times, if I see a picture, I take out my phone and snap pictures of it.. =)
The shop lots at the waterfront
Miri used to be a small village a couple of centuries ago. It is not a huge city but there is enough activity to not get bored. There is not too big of population to feel overwhelmed.
The River
This canal here is an important route for offshore vessels as well as fishing boats to come here and dock. You can spend the time here sitting there watching the vessels come onshore.
Miri at night
At night lights colour up the darkness. Miri is quite quiet at night. This stretch of road is where a lot of businesses are. There are lots of food stalls here, two malls near each other. An area filled with lots of tourists.
The Waterhouse
There are not many water houses left here in Miri and only small parts are left here.
A huge seahorse mural. Artistically drawn here.
This mural is a couple of stories high.
This is not something you will see every day. The guy on the left and his smile let you know how special this situation is.
This lady casually converts the back of her car to become a make shift roasted meat store. This mobile shop goes anywhere easily.
A grocery shop
This shop must be a couple of decades old. Not many grocery stores look like this anymore these days.
I took a picture of this for myself to remember in the future.
At times, I feel that photos are great ways to visit those times in life at a certain point in time frozen. Will be sharing more photos of Miri and life here in the future test.
