Tua Peh Kong temple - This temple is a century old

Hi hi šŸŒž morning... There is a temple here in Miri that is already more than a century old located in the heart of the city. I usually come here once or twice a month to worship. Gettin some good luck.

The Tua Peh Kong

From the main gate, you can see the big statue of Tua Peh Kong. Tua Peh Kong is the deity that safeguards the whole area. This temple is a popular tourist destination as well as a place where locals come to pray.

The rows of trees outside. Quite neat. These trees šŸŒ“ have been specially planted.

The main entrance to the temple. Two golden dragons wrap around the whole area.

The Tua Peh Kong standing up high guarding the city. The different animals from the Chinese zodiac can be seen in front of the staircase.

The floor laid with heavy stones. Maybe granite or perhaps marble. Some of the temple has been renovated to better enhance its aesthetic. This temple is quite popular with the tourist.

Beautiful architecture. This temple has been here for a couple of World wars. There used to be a fish market next to this temple but has been relocated.

The stage for performances.

Lots of lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Each with a name that blesses the person. At night, if you come to this temple, the whole ceiling turns red.

Some nice plants cover part of the temple.

Lots of people come here during the 1st and 15th day of the lunar calendar.

Thank you very much for your time reading my post. Have a great Monday.

beautiful image display.

The temple here is beautiful. I will save it. If I have a chance to come to MiRi, I will stop by.

Keeping a temple that is already century was a 100% jaw-dropping! Hmm. But it will not be possible without the help of people who preserved the tradition and the temple.

hi hi.. yea lo.. lucky many people are willing to sponsor.. =) hi hi.. Cherry.. =)

Thanks for posting in the ASEAN Hive Community.
