Hello Liketu, my old friends!
The other day, I was trying to log in again to Liketu, and I remembered how fun it was using the interface. I mostly use it when I am focusing on my photography content.
I last used this last year. I wonder why photographers won't use this interface more. It's great, especially if your niche is photography. I need to use this again since I have been going around places lately. I have some pictures to share that fit more with Liketu aesthetics.
If you were to ask me, I care more about aesthetics than anything. I would be less likely to use a product if I didn't like its aesthetic. But here I am reminding you that Liketu exists, and if you're into photography, they're great for that.
One option that could be added is the ability to change the URL to make it more SEO-friendly. I am obsessed with these things because they work. Just by optimizing them, I brought in views from the outside.
Moving on to another topic...
It's morning, and I have been barely functional lately. It may be a sign of being old that I was so accustomed to my routine, where I survived on boiled eggs and grilled chicken. When moving around the last few days, I barely ate properly because boiled eggs were expensive. I bought random food I could find, but it was good food, so I wouldn't complain. However, what I don't like is undoubtedly the weight gain that was the result of that, haha.
Now, let's talk about the pictures above. Malioboro is a famous street in Yogyakarta. When I lived there, I hung out there more than I can count. But now that I've moved, I've become just that tourist intrigued by Yogyakarta's way of life.
I knew this place like the back of my hand, but people were still trying to hustle me. There are so many hustlers around the area that you need to be careful to avoid falling into the trap of overpriced souvenirs.
There are many people sitting around in this place, and it has been less chaotic than what I normally see. It's clean, commercialized, and less chaotic. It's the experience for tourists, but you see, I love this specific spot, the Starbucks in Malioboro, where it's always quiet and a great place to be productive.
Along this road, the charm lies in the colonial architectural structures surrounding the place. These structures boast a unique character distinct from typical Indonesian buildings and modern homes. There are plenty of points of interest to explore in this area, showcasing a tapestry of different cultural influences. One notable is the Chinese-influenced gates that add to the area's diverse charm.
People also love taking pictures in a place called "Titik Nol," which is basically the city's zero point and the heart, where you can pinpoint four directions: south, north, east, and west.
Strolling around the area is filled with nostalgia. It has been almost a decade, and while the place has changed, some parts remain unchanged.
Being there, I felt as if I had travelled back to my 17-year-old self, which was relatively adventurous and only to fast-forward to who I am now at 27. This place connects the past and present, just like people say in lyrics about this place.
