He had become a sort of handyman, he mainly dealt with gardening, with specific reference to the pruning and arrangement of the condominium green areas, but also small domestic jobs, such as maintenance and cleaning of window frames, or repairs of electrical systems, and much more, he did not disdain nothing, the important thing is that the customers paid, and when one worked in the private sector, as in his case, there were hardly any major problems in collecting his assets, having to deal directly with the client of the requested work, so slowly he had to create a sort of client base, and by now, after almost ten years of starting this business, he had achieved a fair amount of economic stability, he certainly couldn't be considered wealthy, but at least he didn't have any major problems to reach the end of the month and cover ordinary household expenses...
He had been living with a woman for several years, ups and downs like many relationships, in recent times things had slowly gotten worse, reaching the point that even having a simple and banal fuck had become almost a luxury, something that couldn't be done, or better, you didn't want to do it for often hallucinating reasons, to get to the point you almost needed the alignment of the planets, or a solar eclipse, given how difficult it had become to get to have sex in your relationship...
Several buildings had turned to him, now with periodic frequency, for the care of the common green areas, with a condominium of moderate thickness, composed of two side-by-side buildings with a vast private garden-park, he had made an agreement for a systematic cleaning on a regular basis fortnightly, and in the summer his presence in the area increased to once, even twice a week, including watering the lawn when requested by the condominium owners themselves, the relationships with the various people belonging to the various buildings were quite good, even if there were certainly, among others, the so-called exceptions, such as a lady, a pleasant lady, with whom in the recent past he had met in a couple of cases to question on the execution of the works commissioned to him, to the point that they had almost reached in strong words, the situation had been recomposed with difficulty thanks to the inside of other condominiums, but in addition to everything, this woman was even the person in charge of the common areas of the building, preferably had to interface with her regarding access to a small storage room, a room previously used for the boiler of a building, inside which she had decided to place the tools for the care and maintenance of the green areas, without having to carry everything back and forth every time, the key to that room was managed by that lady, after having obtained a sort of authorization from the condominiums, one morning she stopped the lady, asking her for key to that room...
The reaction was certainly not exciting, the relationship between them certainly could not be defined as optimal, even if Michele felt, despite his strong intolerance towards him, a kind of attraction, the reason was not well explained, but there was certainly it was something that attracted his attention, stimulating his imagination and the formation of more or less explicit thoughts, which even reached the actual sexual act without problems, in short, he would have willingly fucked her, for various reasons, but all these considerations were in his head, given that on the other side there seemed to be an authentic, indestructible Chinese wall, against which he crashed every time he confronted her...

Estate, caldo, afa, sudore, fatica, tutte situazioni che a Michele piacevano sempre meno, mano a mano che gli anni passavano, da sempre preferiva la stagione fredda, l'autunno, meglio ancora l'inverno, adesso poi che aveva raggiunto il nuovo traguardo dei 60 anni, vedeva i mesi estivi come un passaggio verso la stagione più fredda, oltretutto il lavoro aumentava in proporzione, lui che si era dovuto adattare, ma fino a un certo punto, a quel nuovo impiego, al quale lentamente si era adattato, fino a renderselo abbastanza sopportabile...
Era diventato una sorta di tuttofare, principalmente si occupava di giardinaggio, con specifico riferimento alla potatura e sistemazione delle aree verdi condominiali, ma anche piccoli lavori domestici, come manutenzione e pulizia di infissi, oppure riparazioni degli impianti elettrici, e altro ancora, non disdegnava nulla, l'importante è che i clienti pagassero, e quando si lavorava nel settore privato, come nel suo caso, difficilmente c'era grandi problematiche per riscuotere i suoi averi, avendo direttamente a che fare con il committente della lavorazione richiesta, per cui lentamente si era dovuto creare una specie di pacchetto di clienti, e ormai, dopo quasi una decina di anni che era partito con questa attività, aveva raggiunto una discreta stabilità economica, non si poteva di certo ritenere benestante, ma almeno non aveva dei grossi problemi a raggiungere la fine del mese e a coprire le ordinarie spese di casa propria...
Conviveva con una donna, da diversi anni, alti e bassi come tanti rapporti, negli ultimi tempi le cose erano lentamente peggiorate, arrivando al punto che anche fare una semplice e banale scopata era diventato quasi un lusso, un qualcosa che non si poteva, o meglio, non si voleva fare per motivazioni spesso allucinanti, per arrivare al dunque ci voleva quasi l'allineamento dei pianeti, o un eclissi solare, da quanto era diventato difficile arrivare a fare sesso nel suo rapporto...
Diverse palazzine si erano rivolte a lui, ormai con periodica frequenza, per la cura delle aree verdi comuni, con un condominio di discreto spessore, composto da due palazzine affiancate con vasto giardino-parco privato, aveva stretto un accordo per una pulizia sistematica con cadenza quindicinale, e nella bella stagione la sua presenza in zona passava a una, anche due volte a settimana, includendo l'annaffiatura del prato quando richiesta dagli stessi condomini, i rapporti con le varie persone appartenenti alle varie palazzine erano abbastanza buoni, anche se di certo non mancavano, tra le altre, le cosiddette eccezioni, come una signora, una piacente signora, con la quale in un recente passato aveva trovato in un paio di casi da questionare sull'esecuzione dei lavori a lui commissionati, al punto tale che erano quasi arrivati a a parole forti, la situazione si era a fatica ricomposta grazie all'interno di altri condomini, ma in aggiunta al tutto, questa donna era pure la responsabile delle parti comuni dello stabile, si doveva preferibilmente interfacciare con lei per quanto riguardava l'accesso a un piccolo ripostiglio, un locale destinato in precedenza alla caldaia di una palazzina, all'interno del quale aveva pensato di posizionare gli attrezzi per la cura e la manutenzione delle aree verdi, senza dover ogni volta portare avanti e indietro tutto quanto, la chiave di quello stanzino era gestita da quella signora, dopo aver ottenuto una sorta di nulla-osta dai condomini, una mattina fermò la signora, chiedendole la chiave di quel locale...
La reazione non fu certo esaltante, i rapporti tra loro non si potevano di certo definire come ottimali, anche se Michele provava, nonostante la forte insofferenza nei suoi confronti, una specie di attrazione, non si spiegava bene il motivo, ma di certo c'era un qualcosa che attirava la sua attenzione, stimolando l'immaginazione e la formazione di pensieri più o meno espliciti, che giungevano senza problemi anche all'atto sessuale vero e proprio, insomma se la sarebbe scopata volentieri, per diversi motivi, ma tutte queste considerazioni erano nella sua testa, visto e considerato che dall'altra parte sembrava ci fosse un'autentica, indistruttibile muraglia cinese, contro la quale lui andava a sbattere ogni volta che si confrontava con lei...
"Mi hanno riferito che le serve una copia della chiave dello stanzino posteriore, è proprio necessario per lei riporre i suoi attrezzi in quel locale?"
Già era andata sulla difensiva, già si vedeva che era indisposta nei suoi confronti, ma Michele si sforzò di essere accomodante, confermando il bisogno e giustificandolo con la difficoltà di portare avanti e indietro il tutto, la frequenza dei lavori e il caldo opprimente di quel periodo consigliavano quella scelta, quasi a malincuore la signora gli fece cenno di seguirlo, che nel suo appartamento aveva una chiave di riserva, ne avrebbe approfittato anche per fargli notare l'esecuzione di un lavoro che, a suo dire, non era stato fatto nella maniera corretta...
