Hello everyone around here! It's my first post in this community, and not because I haven't wanted to participate, but I've long felt like my daily routines are so monotonous to highlight, although many say the opposite, that I do too much in such a short time.
However, yesterday was a special day in the midst of the daily chaos. I started off quite sluggish, taking advantage of my children being on winter break, allowing myself to wake up a bit later, only yesterday it was not just a bit. I ended up getting out of bed at 8 am, which I hadn't done in years!!
I had the visit from the internet company technician pending to install the wifi at home since I was using a shared signal with a neighbor, but every month the rate would increase, and although everything is on the rise in Argentina, it's not that much. So, checking the offers from different companies that provide the service, I found one similar to what I was using, for a much lower price, and decided to hire it.
Now I have the modem at home, which saves me the trouble of messaging her every time the signal dropped, which, although not frequent, usually happened when she was out.
The installation was quick, so I had time to do my Monday morning routines, which is the only free time from my formal job. So, like a little robot, I cleaned, did the dishes, cooked, organized the laundry I took off the clothesline, and other typical chores of a housewife.
I had a pending task from some months ago, if not years, which was to buy paint to give a new life to the walls of the apartment I rent. It was something I should have done a while ago, but I always prioritized other things and in the end, the budget didn't allow for it.
This time was the same, but unlike previous times, I decided to take a risk and take out a loan through mercado pago, the virtual wallet I've been using for some time. I'm not one to ask for loans, so it was a bit scary, but right now I'm embracing my risky self to step out of my comfort zones, and this is part of the process.
Since the wall painting store is on the way to my job, and I had to go for the second part of the shift (my days off are split 😪), I got ready to leave with enough time to make a stop and buy what I needed: paint, roller, and some filler to cover the little holes in the walls.
The good thing is that the store owner offered to bring the 10-liter paint bucket to my house, so I'm already set to start painting in batches, as doing it all at once would leave me exhausted for other responsibilities I have.
After finishing my workday, I bought corn flour to make the typical Venezuelan arepas and share a peaceful dinner with my kids, while watching some anime on the computer.
And even though tiredness and laziness persisted throughout the day, I'm happy because I managed to accomplish everything planned. So, I can say that this week seems like it's going to be good... what do you think?
Hola a todos por acá! Es mi primera publicación en esta comunidad, y no porque no haya querido participar en ella, sino que desde hace mucho siento que mis rutinas diarias son tan monótonas como para destacarlas, aunque muchos dicen que al contrario, hago demasiado en tan poco tiempo.
Sin embargo, ayer fue un día especial en todo el caos diario. Empecé con bastante flojera, y aprovechando que mis hijos están en las vacaciones de invierno, me doy permiso de levantarme un poco más tarde, solo que ayer no fue solo un poco. Terminé saliendo de la cama a las 8 am, eso no lo había hecho en años!!
Tenía pendiente la visita del técnico de la compañía de internet para hacer la instalación en casa del wifi, ya que usaba una señal compartida con una vecina, pero todos los meses me aumentaba la tarifa, y aunque en Argentina todo va en alza, pues tampoco es para tanto. Así que revisando las ofertas de las diferentes compañías que ofrecen el servicio, encontré una similar a la que usaba, por mucho menos precio, y decidí contratarla.
Ahora tengo el modem en casa, con lo cual me ahorro la molestia de estar mandándole mensajes a ella cada vez que se caía la señal, que aunque no era frecuente, por lo general sucedía cuando ella estaba fuera de casa.
La instalación fue rápida, por lo que me dio tiempo de hacer mis rutinas del lunes en la mañana, que es el único tiempo libre de mi trabajo formal. Así que cual robotina limpie, lavé los platos, cociné, ordené la ropa que saqué del tender, y demás nimiedades típicas de una ama de casa.
Tenía pendiente una diligencia desde algunos meses atrás, por no decir años, y era comprar la pintura para darle una nueva vida a las paredes del apartamento que alquilo. Era algo que debía haber hecho desde hace tiempo, pero siempre le daba prioridad a otras cosas y al final de todo, el presupuesto no rendía para ello.
Esta vez pasó igual, pero a diferencia de las veces anteriores, decidí arriesgarme y sacarlo por un préstamo de mercadopago, la billetera virtual que uso desde hace tiempo. No soy de pedir préstamos, así que me daba cierto temor, pero justo ahora estoy retomando mi yo arriesgado, para salir de mis zonas de confort, y esto es parte del proceso.
Como la ferretería queda de camino a mi trabajo, y debía ir para la segunda tanda del horario (mis días libres son a mitades 😪) me arreglé para salir con el tiempo suficiente para hacer una parada y comprar lo necesario: pintura, rodillo y un poco de revocador para tapar los huequitos que tienen las paredes.
Lo bueno es que la dueña de la ferretería se ofreció a traerme el pote de 10 litros de pintura a casa, por lo que ya estoy lista para empezar a pintar por tandas, pues de hacerlo de una sola vez implicaría quedar exhausta para las demás responsabilidades que tengo.
Al terminar mi jornada laboral, compré harina de maíz para hacer las típicas arepas venezolanas y compartir una cena tranquila con mis niños, mientras veíamos un poco de animé en la computadora.
Y aunque el cansancio y la flojera siguieron presentes durante todo el día, estoy contenta porque pude cumplir con todo lo planificado. Así que puedo decir que esta semana se pinta que va a ser buena... ustedes que creen?
