Art is the journey of a free soul.
This is a publication based on the suggested topic proposed in the Hive Learners community through their discord, which on this occasion is "Meaning To Art".
Welcome, my dear readers. Thank you for visiting me, and I hope you enjoy and learn something new with the topic I am going to discuss today. Today, I am going to talk about art and whether it should have a meaning behind it. Generally, artists imprint a meaning behind their works. This makes the artwork, song, painting, or sculpture they create have a deeper context, and the people who appreciate or observe that art or piece will be able to understand the meaning of that piece better. Without a context or story behind them, it would be much more complicated to understand the meaning of what they represent. This does not mean that it is necessary for every work to have a meaning. There are artists who only create works for the sheer pleasure of drawing or representing their technique or art and sharing it with others. There are cases where artists share hidden meanings within their works. As an artist, I have the peculiarity that each of my NFTs and digital art pieces contains a hidden message. In many cases, they are profound social critiques; in others, they are aspects of the harsh life I have had to endure, where I recount, for example, all the years of domestic violence I have been subjected to, all the aberrations I have overcome, and things like that. But it is not always necessary for art to have a meaning. For example, there are songs or movies that are made solely to entertain the viewer, and that is their function. Those of us who are scriptwriters or know about cinema and movies are well aware that there are works made exclusively to entertain the public, and this is fine. It is not necessary for a work or a movie to have a meaning. However, I must say that works or jobs with a meaning and a message in each of them are much better valued and received by educated people. Generally, we have works representing historical moments or heroic acts of societies and the world. Understanding that these are representations of great battles or heroic acts that saved lives, these works have greater beauty and significance. I believe each of us can enjoy any of these works, whether a painting, a movie, a song, a sculpture, or digital art, as they are, appreciating the beauty of their strokes and the particular way each artist presents the symbolism to us. Because just appreciating, looking at, and observing this artistic work that this person is doing and sharing with us is a gain. We are already entertaining ourselves and enjoying all that range of colors and trying to find that message, and this is art precisely. Art is in the eyes of those who appreciate that work. Every person is a world and has a world of ideas, and within that world of ideas, each human being gives value to these arts and the works that each of the artists presents. That is the most important value or meaning that art can have. I hope you have learned something from this point of view that I share with you as an artist, and I also wish you to enjoy every piece of art, whether it is songs, movies, sculptures, digital works, or physically made paintings because all this is what gives beauty to the world.
