Reflection Hunters Contest Round 176
This past Friday, just a couple of days ago, while I was driving back home, an unexpected storm with very strong winds, almost like a hurricane, came up. Fortunately I was a short distance from the building where I live, but even so, in the few meters that separate me from the parking lot to the entrance lobby, I was completely soaked by the rain water.
After arriving at the apartment and changing my clothes, the intensity of the wind increased considerably, however, just as it started, it ended unexpectedly. All this happened in a period of time of about 15 or 20 minutes, but even so, I could read through the various social networks that some sectors of the city had been quite affected by the fall of trees and flooded streets because the drains had collapsed making traffic difficult.
The next day, i.e. yesterday, Saturday, I visited my mother, in whose building one of the elevators was affected by rainwater entering the pit, and fortunately none of the equipment was damaged. Also, when I arrived, I noticed that there was still water on the floor of the subway parking lot, which I took the opportunity to take some pictures of the reflection of the cars in the puddles.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Este pasado Viernes, hace apenas un par de días atrás, mientras manejaba de regreso a casa se desató una inesperada tormenta con vientos muy fuertes, casi como si se tratase de un huracán, afortunadamente me encontraba a corta distancia del edificio donde vivo, pero aún así, en los pocos metros que me separan del puesto de estacionamiento hasta el lobby de entrada, me empapé por completo del agua de la lluvia.
Luego de llegar al apartamento y cambiarme la ropa, la intensidad del viento se incrementó considerablemente, sin embargo, así como se inició todo así mismo finalizó, de manera inesperada. Todo este suceso ocurrió en un período de tiempo de unos 15 o 20 minutos, pero aún así, pude leer por las diversas redes sociales que algunos sectores de la ciudad se habían visto bastante afectadas por la caída de árboles y calles inundades porque los drenajes habían colapsado dificultando el tránsito.
Al día siguiente, es decir ayer Sábado, visité a mi madre, en cuyo edificio uno de los ascensores fué afectado por la entrada del agua de la lluvia al foso, y afortunadamrnte ninguno de los equipos resultó dañado. Además, cuando llegué, observé que aún había agua en el piso del estacionamiento subterráneo, lo cual aproveché para tomar algunas fotos del reflejo de los carros en los charcos.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
