That option of being at the back didn't appeal to him much, because the literature teacher had a low tone of voice and from where she was it was hard to hear her. The other thing was that she was beginning to notice that it was difficult for her to distinguish what the teacher was copying on the blackboard.
Every time she had to stop to see if it was what she thought it said, often getting it wrong, resulting in writing the notes wrong. He was more pleased that they dictated the topics, that way he would have everything in his notebook, but that did not always happen.
This situation persisted, while she was studying in high school, and people were beginning to realize that Juana had a visual problem that prevented her from seeing well. When I asked her, she would divert the conversation, not wanting to accept that she needed to see an ophthalmology specialist.
