Hello Hivers πŸ’•πŸ’˜,

In animal production you must always be adapted to get the best production from your animals no matter the cost of living for your animals. Things are extremely tight nowadays but nevertheless we need to always bring in what is called creativity in animal keeping. Most of our farmers believe that you must only administer concentrate feed to your animals. I have been in so many farms whereby yes we can say they are extremely rich but in terms of their food timing and routine for their animals I will say that it is just one way feeding method. And in animal production there is nothing like one way feeding method because your animals need a lot of balance diet. This balance diet involves giving them the concentrate feed, giving them green grass or legumes, giving them hay and sometimes roughages. When you combine all this together, you already have a very good balance diet and inclusive multivitamins.

Some farmers believe that you only needs to feed your animals once which I do not recommend for any farmer myself. Feeling your animals once will reduce a lot of energy, growth and even response to breeding. When you deprive your animals from regular consumption of food they will start to diminish in size which will also engage in multiple loss on the farm. I have been in this shoes on several occasions and before I could adjust to the normal continuity feeding routine it was extremely late. So that is why as a farmer you need to engage on multiple researches and pick the best suits your farm animal or your crop. That is why I do not always follow what other people really say concerning agriculture. What you already know me be absolutely different from what you meet on the farm. That is why engaging in constant farming routine on your crop or animals will give you a very good insight of how you need to take good care of your animals. When I started this animal keeping, it wasn't a very easy task because even at night I always come to check on them regularly before I get back to my residential house which is the form of being dedicated to your animals. Some farmers do not even know how many liter they are animal give birth to yet they are also called farmers. So regular visitation to farm and engaging in constant feeding, observing and checking of animals makes you a very good farmer.

WHAT DO YOU FEED YOUR ANIMALS?

This is one time question that most people may ask inside of them individually. But cannot relate to anyone. I would like to say that before you start to go into any type of agricultural section or unit you must come to a round table to know your capability before you jump into it. This is what I always do whenever we are in any type of season. The rainy season and the dry season. what are the animals to keep in the rainy season what are the animals to keep in the dry season that we survive and also produce more. So keeping of animals such as rabbit, grasscutter and others maybe a little bit friendly because of the nature of what they eat. some people may ignore the use of local food items to feed the animals but I will say that it is extremely necessary. It will make your animals to give a very good body configuration as well as produce more liters.

  • I took so many pictures of this to show us how its been done in our own farm. We use all types of human remnants feed the rabbit just because nothing is absolutely a waste. When you look at how creativity comes in into agriculture you will definitely conclude that nothing is a waste.

The rate at which we human being categorize other food waste and even trash them which has no meaning always bothered me a lot. When you are into rabbit keeping you can utilize all this and it will be very good for them to consume easily and to digest it. Nowadays you see a lot of people trooping into those people selling roasted plantain or roasted corn to pack all this ruminants to feed the animals.

You must also start using this even when they are very small so that once in a while the chip in and eat. Before they get fully matured. You must also regulate the use of reminant for your rabbit because when you give it to them constantly it may result in bloated stomach in animals.

I did this sometimes ago and a lot of questions were asked by people walking on their own. When they stopped they actually asked me "Brother, What is this use for?'. Then my reply was very simple. I told them its for my animals. One of the them slowly came back to ask me which of the animals? So I had to explain further, the RABBITSπŸ‡πŸ‡. Even though the woman wanted to also collect a tip which I did. That is to show you that nothing is a waste.

When you collect the plantain ruminants, you make sure that is either placed inside the sun for some hours so that the acid in it will reduce drastically before you give your animals. Or you make sure that the plantain peel is showing some signs of rotten. Then it is also good for your rabbit and some other animals like goat, grasscutter, sheep, horse, camel and so on.

You can give your animals three time food in a day and they will always look very big and plumpy. I've done this several times although sometimes it is more expensive. When you buy a bag of concentrate feeds for a very huge amount and it just for few days. Then you already know how much more feet you buy for 4 weeks. It much.

So you can use the plantain peel or the yam peel, or the potato peel, or the watermelon, mango, oranges, ripe plantain, Guava, and so on to feed your rabbit and they will absolutely grow better and they are surviving late will be high.
