This week's secret mage challenge is quite straightforward there's not much beating around the bush, even newbies on splinterlander get to easily understand what the ruleset is all about.
Just one rule it is monsters with odd mana cost will only be used in this ruleset although the ruleset might sound easy and straightforward summoners need to put their strategy into work coming up with less strategic lineup monsters can easily eliminate one from the arena.
Since this ruleset only require use of odd mana monsters tips for this ruleset can be a bit tricky.
Depends on the given cost mana your lineup monsters should be well fortified have a good tank
A good melee tank with high shield, health and speed can come very handy if possible get a magic void melee tank.
Magic monsters helps quite a lot in making battle easy to win and they focus on monsters health.
Add shield or healing ability monsters.
Special abilities like thorn, reflection opportunity monsters will go a long way.

Battle ruleset
For this battle only one rule matter coming up with odd mana monsters other special ability monsters like thorn, opportunity, melee, magic and neutral monsters can be used in this ruleset seem quite a difficult ruleset to face an opponent with.

Battle detail
For this battle ruleset 27 cost mana cap was given for both summoners to come up with their battle lineup monsters my opponent opt in with earth element monsters while I used fire element monsters for this ruleset my opponent strategy rely on use of magic monsters while I used more of melee attacking monster for this ruleset.
Battle lineup
GRUM FLAMBLADE a void armour with bloodlust ability this monster shield takes damage from magic monsters before it health get affected it also gains additional health when it eliminate a monster from an opponent side it is best suitable for tank position.
TENYII STRIKER Another melee attacking monster this one attacks an opponent lineup from backline it sneak ability makes ot very important in this ruleset.
SPIRIT HOARDER this is a friendly monster it healths backline unit monster that has taken the most damage from opponent attack it can also attack an opponent tank with it magic strike.
GOBALANO SOLDIER a sneak attacking monster with ambushing ability it gives my lineup unit chance to strike first in any battle giving me some upper chance to counter my opponent first strikes.
RADIATED SCORCHER this monster will serve as a protective backline shield should in case my opponent come up with sneak attacking monster.
Battle strategy
For this ruleset since the give mana cap for battle isn't that high I decided to go all in with attacking my opponent with every chance I've got.
Since melee monster are good when it comes to evading an opponent health my tank has a very good slashing attacking damage which is required of every good tank my second line monster also have a good attacks speed but will be attacking my opponent from backline along my third line monster this simple strategy will help get rid of my opponent from and backline monsters easily.
My strategy did worked out as planned as I did not give my opponent much breathing chance to strike.
Battle arena
The battle lasted 5 rounds with my ambush monster taking the first strike my opponent came up with taunt monster this gave both my melee attacking monster to strike hard on my opponent tank at the last round I was crowned victorious leaving my opponent defeated.
Round 1 First round is my opponent came up with six lineup monsters while I did came up with five my opponent tank looks very weak against my tank which has quite decide the battle.
Round 2 at the end of second round my opponent taunt and few other monsters have been element leaving my opportunity with just two lineup monsters.
Round 3 There's no chance for my opponent this time only two monsters to go round the next round.
Round 4,5 My opponent last line monster can't stand all five of my lineup only chance now is to call off and accept defeat.
