Two days ago, I took my family to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Actually, last week, when we went back to her hometown, she asked if we could celebrate early at a well-known restaurant there. Her reason was that the restaurant was far from our house, which is in my hometown, and she had been craving Secret Recipe cake for a while. So, I fulfilled her wish, and we celebrated her birthday early. My wife said that she didn’t want another celebration on her actual birthday.
When her birthday finally arrived, two days ago, I surprised her. After we got back from work around 2 p.m., I took her and the kids to a fancy restaurant in town. Daily Coffee is known for its pricier food, but the atmosphere inside is really unique. This time, I did all the ordering, whereas my wife usually does that. The menu offered a variety of dishes, from rice and noodles to sandwiches, pizza, coffee, and juices, there were so many choices. Unfortunately, there was no cake that day, so I ordered extra food instead. Even though it was a bit pricey, I didn’t mind because it was a special day for our small family.
While paying, we qualified for a lucky draw. The prizes were impressive; they even had a PS5 up for grabs! Our kids were very happy, although there was a bit of drama when Eiona got upset because we didn’t let her play on the phone during the meal. Thankfully, she was easily cheered up, and everything went smoothly. After celebrating, we returned to our usual routine. Before going home, we stopped to buy groceries so we wouldn’t have to go to town again on the weekend. Usually, we shop for groceries on Sundays, but it looks like we’ll skip that trip this week.
